I left this hotel this morning and had a wonderful four days exploring Hamburg. Although Norderstedt is a little out of Hamburg, it was lovely to get out of the city to a quieter suburb in the evening. Admittedly, the hotel is on a busy junction and you do get traffic noise, including emergency vehicles with ear splitting sirens but I still slept well. The rooms are clean and warm and well stocked with soap and shower gel and there was plenty of hot water. There’s fresh local mineral water in the room which is also replenished. I had an attic room which people have grumbled about but I found plenty of space. Breakfast is good with a choice of eggs, including scrambled, sausages, cheese, tomatoes with mozzarella, sliced meats, cucumber and a selection of bread, both rolls and sliced. Good butter and jam, honey and decent coffee - which you would expect in Germany. The bus 192 stops across the road and you can be at U-Bahn Langenhorn Nord in less than 10 minutes. There is another bus the 493 that you can get diagonally across from the hotel and this takes you to Norderstedt Mitte U-Bahn which is slightly further. Buses are frequent, cheap and efficient and of course, you always know where you are because of onboard signs and announcements. Nearby is a small shopping area with a Netto supermarket which has a little cafe inside it. There’s a Greek restaurant, a small bakery and a couple more small shops, dry cleaner, tailor and massage therapist and an ATM. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful and I would definitely stay here again.

“Enjoyable stay”

Nice & comfortable room with blackout curtains.. Quiet despite being near the road. Free parking in the garage. Good choice at breakfast (fruit, bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, croissants, cereals & yogurts..).

“Clean, reasonably priced, but noisy due to overlooking busy intersection”

We stayed here on our way back to Scandinavia and were looking for a reasonable priced place to stay before continuing on the next morning. The room was fine, but was above smoking area, had no airconditioning. There is a great deal of noise from the road including sirens from police and ambulanc… more

We stayed here on our way back to Scandinavia and were looking for a reasonable priced place to stay before continuing on the next morning. The room was fine, but was above smoking area, had no airconditioning. There is a great deal of noise from the road including sirens from police and ambulances. Free parking, and a nice breakfast with helpful staff.

“Below average business hotel”

Spent 6 days at this hotel. The room was 50 per cent unusable due to overhangs from the roof. Elevator service only served one floor of the hotel. Parking is a problem even with the hotel parking lot. Breakfast was average, wake-up calls were missed on two of the days.
