We have just returned home after a weeks stay at this wonderful Hotel and we can honestly say we both had a great holiday. We used the restaurant, the bar, the terrace and the pool many times, all of which we have nothing to fault. We even had a few chats with the great man himself (Ghazi), what a lovely man. Sunloungers were always available around the pool or within the gardens. Nice covered separate area to have lunch too. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, such a great team. The Hotel is located on a steep hill and can be very challenging when returning from a night out but bus number 2 stops directly outside the Hotel and taxi's are reasonably priced so you do have options. We did have a few minor housekeeping issues, towels and the free bottles of water not being replaced plus the floor could have done with an extra clean for our arrival but any issues are resolved quickly after reporting to reception. Overall, our stay was superb and we recommend this Hotel to any future guests, you will not be disappointed. Would we return - of course!

“Service needs Improvement”

We stayed here in July for 3 nights for a special occasion. The hotel is quite nicely located for all the attractions, if you are reasonably fit, it is possible to walk to Main Street, the shopping area, but taxis prices are reasonable, plus there is a bus stop outside on the main road. The hotel has had a refurb, and whilst it looks reasonable, I would have to say the standard of finish was definitely that of a diy'er, with poor cutting in on paint work, gaps in joints on the floor, and poor mitre joints on woodwork. As soon as we entered our room, we did notice dirt behind the bin in the bathroom, water marks on the shower, and we kept picking up small pieces of polythene from the floors. we did point these issues out to the staff, who stated they were going to do a deep clean of the room, so we sat on the balcony, no sooner had we sat down, we realised that they had left the room. Breakfast in the morning was a bit chaotic, with people ordering eggs and then having to wait quite awhile, and when they did arrive, they were poorly cooked, breakfast items were constantly running out and the standard of produce was not that great. We did dine in the Restaurant one evening as a group of four, between us, we had a selection of starters, and all members of the party were very impressed with the quantity and quality of the ingredients, but the service was lacking, our table was half cleared of starters, but then took about ten minutes to clear the rest. For mains, we all opted for fillet steak, with most of us opting for medium, whilst my Wife went for medium to well done, this came out almost black, and all the others were well over done. Service was so slow, with two courses taking over 2 hours, in the end we gave up on desserts. We were concerned that if public areas were not that clean, what were the other areas like, such as the kitchen. This hotel needs to improve its level of service, and for this reason I would not recommend The Rock Hotel.
