Paradise hotel was all we expected , room with amazing view over pool and sea and we were able to watch wonderful sunrise every day from our balcony! The steps down in the sea off the rocks meant we could have a sunrise swim 2 mins after leaving room almost every day - not one day when very windy . Breakfasts were super excellent choice and a fantastic start to day . Excellent location with short walk to harbour area restaurants etc . Already thinking about our next holiday here !

First , I will give you the good points of the hotel, set in a good location with just a short walk down to the harbour front. The breakfast were pretty good with plenty of choice but the hot food was no good for me as I am vegetarian and the egg dish always had meat in it buy saying that I never went away hungry. Pool area was lovely, and as other guests have said, the sunbeds were super comfy. Poolside bar did lovely snacks at lunchtime and had fabulous views. All the staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the top floor of the new building. The balcony had great views of the pool and the sea in the distance. The actual room itself was a bit too small, don’t think I could’ve stayed there for two weeks, but we were only there for a week so that was okay. Could’ve done with a bit more space for clothes.Now to the BAD Points which was the bathroom, It was something out of the 70s, in fact I would say it was an accident waiting to happen. The shower was not attached to the wall but you had to hold it which is difficult when washing your hair, no grip rails on the walls, the water sprayed everywhere, no bath mats were provided so we put towels on the floor as we were so scared of slipping. In fact when we had a shower we wore beach shoes for extra safety. The toilet seat did not fit the actual toilet, but I suppose this was because the toilet was that old you couldn’t get a seat to fit it anymore. The wash basin was all cracked and alot of the tiling was black mould. I do think a bathroom is an important part of a hotel room as you are getting 2 showers a day and I did not feel safe showering at all ( we are in our 70s) I personally would not stay here again because of the bathroom which is a shame because it is such a lovely hotel.

We recently stayed at the Paradise Hotel in Alonissos and really enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere. The setting is very peaceful with lovely views and it felt like the perfect place to unwind. Breakfast was good each morning with enough variety to set us up for the day. Sun loungers were always available and very comfortable and the beds in the rooms were excellent. The pool area was also incredibly quiet even during the day it felt like a library, which made relaxing there very enjoyable. It was also a nice touch from the hotel to provide us with a breakfast bag to take with us on our early ferry back to Skiathos. A few points to note for future guests: some rooms do not have a sea view, so it’s worth emailing ahead to request one. At check-in, we were told we didn’t need a safe because Alonissos is a very safe island, only to find there actually was a safe in the room. It also became apparent that pool towels were available, but we were never offered one. Overall, check-in could definitely be more informative. In fact, we noticed several new arrivals (ourselves included) looking confused on where reception was located – a clear sign would really help first impressions. The bathrooms are quite dated and would benefit from an upgrade, and the bedroom furniture is also starting to feel a little tired. Overall, the hotel offers a peaceful and comfortable stay in a beautiful location. With clearer check-in procedures and some room updates, it could be an even better experience.

As other reviews have stated this is a relaxing hotel in a lovely spot. Great views from the pool and bar with easy access to the sea (bring beach shoes) from a ladder on the rocks. It is peaceful and attracts maybe an older client group. The hotel could be so much better if the older rooms were updated. We stayed in room 305 booked through TUI and I would say it is possibly the worse room in the hotel. Very dated , small balcony overlooking a half made building. As we only slept in the room we tried not to let it spoil our otherwise lovely holiday. Rooms in the newer building overlooking the pool and the sea seemed to be much better and a number of couples were moved to these rooms when we stayed. I can only assume they complained and were then upgraded. Breakfast is good with everything you need and we ate at the pool bar a few lunchtimes. The food was delicious and reasonably priced . We usually finished the night with a drink at the bar which was low key but very relaxing. The terraced areas leading down to the ladder where you access the sea all had lovely views but were let down with poorly maintained or sparse furniture and needed a good brush up. These areas could be so much nicer with a small amount of effort. The pool is a good size and well maintained . There was never a pressure for loungers which a comfortable. . We explored the area and I would reccomend the short (10 minute walk )to the local beach which has beds for hire and two very good tavernas. There are regular buses to various other beaches on the island form the town which are cheap and reliable. Definitely worth trying. We also took a boat trip form the port for a day which was very enjoyable. Finally do go into the Old Town up in the hills. Fabulous views and traditional tavernas. There is a regular bus service. We enjoyed our 10 days on the island and would recommend it.
