I am writing a review of this hotel even though we did not stay here, we were at a hotel down the road. We visited the Pela one afternoon and were welcomed by the owner, we had a drink and spoke to her about using the restaurant at the premises. She told us we were very welcome to use the facilities at the Pela. We ate and had drinks after for the last 6 nights of our 14 night holiday. We can not praise the owner enough for the welcome and the service that we received, we were treated just the same as the hotel guests. Food was excellent with a good choice and every evening there was a daily special, as already said nothing was to much trouble. I would like to point out that if it had not been for the hospitality of the owner our holiday would not have been half as good.

“The warmest welcome.”

Did not stay at The Pela but, have changed our booking to stay there next year. We visited Thekla & Dion on 2 occasions during our 2 week stay at another hotel (rhymes with dasiphae). Did not stay at The Pela but, have changed our booking to stay there next year. We visited Thekla & Dion on 2 occasions during our 2 week stay at another hotel (rhymes with dasiphae). What a difference. Introduced ourselves & asked if it was OK to have a drink & meal. Of course was the reply. The ambience couldn't be better. Thekla knew all the guest by name & ours. We visited again a few days later & were greeted with our names as if we were old friends. The food was the best we had all holiday, Dion was always making sure we were OK for beverages. “Greek hospitality at its best”

Our 10th trip in 12 years that says it all we love the place and the delightful traditional little port of Skala Kallonis. The Pela is a basic traditional family hotel which is clean and comfortable. The hotel serves a buffet breakfast and excellent home cooked snacks and meals from lunchtime to 9pm, there is also a traditional Greek 3 course meal offered each evening for E14, who is great value. There is a large swimming pool in the lovely grounds, and Thekla, her dad and Dion will ensure that you have the best holiday possible, we will be back again next year

“Friendly hard working family business. Rooms are fine the wifi is bad or unavailable. Smoking is allowed everywhere 🙁”

All is basic, clean, friendly, hard working. Pay extra for use of airco. Very basic breakfast and kitchen but ok. Close to nice little village and beach. Car rent delivery at hotel. Improvement: Be aware that wifi is absent in rooms. 5G is fine. People are smoking everywhere, no non smoking areas… more

Improvement: Be aware that wifi is absent in rooms. 5G is fine. People are smoking everywhere, no non smoking areas. Apartments next to terras area can be noisy until 01h with loud people.
