“Fantastic hotel in beautiful location”

Great hotel, peaceful location. Staff are wonderful and helpful, nothing is too much effort or a problem. There are a number of steps up from town up to hotel, but not too hard, but you might need to think about this depending on you.

We wanted to explore more of the Peloponnese so chose this beautiful hotel in Nafplio as our base. Prior to arriving I had contacted them about parking and general access. Their replies were instant, always a good sign. From the moment we arrived to when we checked out a week later all the staff were excellent; friendly, helpful and always with a ready smile. We chose a front corner room which was larger than the standard rooms and it was an excellent choice. We had a great view out to the town and Bourtzi Fort and across the bay to the mountains. Breakfast was included and provided a mix of Greek, continental and options for bacon, fried eggs etc. Lots of choice of fruit and various drinks meant that there was always something to be had. The Housekeeping team were fabulous. We normally eat around 8:30am and each day when we returned from breakfast housekeeping had cleaned and tidied our room usually with fresh linen and towels. It seems churlish to have a downside but my wife found it impossible to hang a full length dress as the bars were half length, but that a minor point. It is true that there are a lot of steps to Nafplio. It will certainly tone up your legs but we also discovered that if we didn’t fancy the hike back, a taxi from town was about €5 which is certainly worth it. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from and some great bars. We are at a different one each night One final point our room had a HUGE bath that filled really quickly, was incredibly deep and certainly eased our aching legs. “Naus Hotel Nafplio is a gem of simple luxury.”

Naus Hotel Nafplio is very nice and the staff are wonderful. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed out stay. Naus Hotel Nafplio is very nice and the staff are wonderful. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed out stay. The staff was welcoming and helpful, Bartenders fun and friendly and coffee bar servers lovely. Our room was pleasant, large enough and had a patio overlooking the bay. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and allowed for a great night sleep. So few hotels in Greece have comfortable beds so this was a treat. Breakfast provided multiple choices and the food was very good. The hotel provides easy access to multiple sites to visit within a days drive. Walk down the hill to the wine bar or restaurants and bars, for sunset. Parking can be tricky if arriving late in the day. It is best to arrive earlier in the day to get a spot nearby. Do not park along the road going down the hill. You will need to get your luggage across side alleys that are stone and bumpy. The shower looks pretty but in reality allows too much water to bounce into the sink area and the floor gets very wet. The designers built this area for look and not function. Beware but do not let this stop you from staying at this gem of a hotel.

“Beautiful...”

Beautiful hotel... all new... everything in the room is automated, beautiful views of the water. Breakfast was amazing, they had everything you could imagine. Beautiful hotel... all new... everything in the room is automated, beautiful views of the water. Breakfast was amazing, they had everything you could imagine. Just a tipe, yes there are alot of steps to get to the main entrance... however... if you drive to the top of the hill there were the dead end is, park your car (don't forget to put your hazard lights on!), walk down the alley way, which leads to the entrance of the hotel - then there is only 4 steps!
