“An old prison !”
Quirky Hotel in an old prison. It's novel to sleep in a cell. I travelled by motorcycle arriving in the pouring rain.... The receptionist was very helpful and sympathetic !! Excellent bar and restaurant. My three course evening meal was delicious !

“Liked it here”
The hotel is a 10 / 15 minute walk from town and situated in peaceful woodland. Architecture is really interesting and the conversion from a prison has been done very well. Staff are friendly, rooms are clean and the one/ we were in were pretty large. I would imagine they are much more spacious… more

“Spectacular conversion but could be improved”
Plus points - cool conversion of an old prison, nice common areas, in parkland Minus points - have gone cheap on things like coffee machines etc in rooms. 25 mins walk from anywhere, kitchen closes at 2100 and no room service, bar closes 2230
