“Good centrally located hotel”

Booked for 5 nights as visiting my son. Very central next to the main square with restaurants. Good breakfast, nice staff. An event in the restaurant each night so busy. Only complaint is that the lighting in the room is poor. Otherwise full marks.

Happy with this place. The rooms are basic and medium-sized but very very clean. There are flashier hotels on the highway but they are isolated: one has to drive to enjoy anything at those hotels, other than the hotel restaurant. Stadshotel Botterweck is right on the main square near the cathedral, with perhaps two dozen restaurants within three blocks, as well as local shopping. So if you like to go out, this is THE place to stay in Heerlen. It is above a 2-floor tapas restaurant that is perhaps one of the loveliest spaces I’ve been in. Staff at the hotel are perfect. They are attentive and professional. Breakfast buffet is small but delicious and comprehensive. This is a unique hotel. Again, with basic but clean rooms. If you take a room with a view of the square you risk street noise, but the rooms in back are very quiet. I will stay here again.

Stayed at this hotel for one evening, check in was easy, to get to the hotel for the first time walk through the restaurant on the ground floor and then up to the first floor for check in. All staff in the restaurant will happily direct. Once checked in the room key enables the lift which will take you to your floor, there are also stairs. The room was clean, fresh and well laid out with its own immaculate shower and WC, including towels soaps and a hair dryer. In the main area we had a TV mounted on the wall, soft lighting with two single beds pushed together to make a double. There were two windows looking out on to the centrum. There is night club very near, Saturday night you can hear the music until the early hours, a church is very close too, with bells that strike the hours and half hours, neither of these things bothered us and added to the experience. The room was comfortable with a dressing table and large mirror and a small room safe. No tea or coffee facilities in the room. The Hotel is in the main town square and easy to find, there is a public secure car park 2mins walk from the hotel, again easy to find and use. It cost us 15 euros from 3.00pm Saturday to 10am Sunday. We had a pleasant stay, thank you.

“Nice place in the Center ”

Nice hotel in the Center of Heerlen. Friendly staff, nice interior and clean rooms. The breakfast buffet is ok with plenty of choice. In the hotel is also a tapas restaurant which serves great food. Parking is possible in the nearby public parking.

“Hospitality is a point of attention for some”

Felt very welcome when checking in, however the rest of the stay there was another receptionist that wasn’t very friendly and never said anything when greeted. She didn’t even ask how our stay was when checking-out. Shame really as the location is great.
