“An old prison !”
Quirky Hotel in an old prison. It's novel to sleep in a cell. I travelled by motorcycle arriving in the pouring rain.... The receptionist was very helpful and sympathetic !! Excellent bar and restaurant. My three course evening meal was delicious !

“Liked it here”
The hotel is a 10 / 15 minute walk from town and situated in peaceful woodland. Architecture is really interesting and the conversion from a prison has been done very well. Staff are friendly, rooms are clean and the one/ we were in were pretty large. I would imagine they are much more spacious… more

This hotel has a lot of character. The best is the guided tour by former guards, like 'our' Jos. The breakfast is good. The staff is friendly.
