The good outweighs the bad: For the most part, the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very impressive — it makes the IHG offerings in the USA look positively anemic in comparison. If you don’t mind waiting 50 minutes for your beer and meal, give the on-site restaurant a try. The location is convenient to the free ferry that crosses the river from the north side, where the hotel is, to Central Station. The rooms are basic: no in-room safe, worn-thin bath towels, no washcloths in the bathroom or in the entire hotel. As usual, there are always a few bad actors: The rude female bartender who closed the bar before closing time one night and the thieving cab driver who was booked at 27.50 euros but charged us 36 euros at our destination. We’d stay here again but doubt we’ll return to Amsterdam. Dirty, expensive, graffiti-riddled, smokers using the streets and sidewalks as their personal ashtray, indifferent servers in bars and restaurants, it wasn’t our kind of town.

Paid around 400 EUR incl parking per night during a fair. Ridiculous price for this hotel class. Don't spend more than 150 EUR for a fair value. Breakfast is there and included. Not bad, and kind of typical for that hotel class and NL, but really not good. Baked beans are some own created tasteless… more

Not bad, and kind of typical for that hotel class and NL, but really not good. Baked beans are some own created tasteless masse. breadrolls cheap. Scrambled eggs artificial. juice watery. Hotel reception not capable of sending my invoice after the stay. Front desk does not answer or hang up. Reservation says they are not responsible. 15 min checkout in the morning because they don't have a proper way of creating invoice with right details yourself. Quite a way to go in terms of customer service. Ok to deal with this at cost of 80-100 EUR but for this price is it is a complete service and quality f-up.

Rooms were nice and clean, location wasn’t good for us. It’s 20/30 min walk to central station/city, metro noordpark is prob 15 min walk and then it’s 1 stop to central station. Rooms were nice and clean, location wasn’t good for us. It’s 20/30 min walk to central station/city, metro noordpark is prob 15 min walk and then it’s 1 stop to central station. The walk to either is not straight forward and goes through housing estates etc so have some form of gps. Staff in the hotel are not very helpful, had an issue with my case and asked if they could help, just a flat no. Didn’t even check to see if they had the tools needed. breakfast was good, continental, plus scrambled eggs and beans for hot food. Get there early it gets busy. After that food is only served after 3pm. It was just over €900 for 3 nights for 2 adults &2kids. I wouldn’t stay there again, I’d pay the extra money for a hotel in the centre of Amsterdam. Then it’s easier to walk/ travel everywhere. It’s not worth the hassle, especially with kids trying to get around.
