Grand building with nicely designed rooms - high ceilings, big windows. A few hiccups, like the tap is not long enough to reach the sink properly, nowhere to put your glasses (or anything) when showering, and annoying wifi (took me more than twenty attempts to register - with no indication of what I was doing wrong - some obscure rules about what was acceptable data to enter on a form that asked for more data than needed). I would dock a star but they earned it back with the TV behind the stained glass window! Otherwise quiet, clean, comfortable with decent breakfast

“Location/ building is great”

Great hotel. Location is fantastic , an old convent converted into hotel Rooms are a bit dissapointing for a 4 star hotel. Our room looked a bit “worm down” to be honest. And a glas door in the toilet ( eventough you can actually see trough it, is a bit awkward

The hotel tried too hard to be “design,” and the guest experience suffered for it. We had one of the basic rooms, and the layout was baffling. I’ve never seen anything like it: a huge room that somehow felt like an extension of the bathroom. The toilet was separate from the shower, the sink was in the bedroom, and the doors were transparent, so when the lights were on, you could see your partner’s silhouette on the toilet, there’s not even a lock, the door just even stays a bit open. It felt impractical, weird, and frankly, like a room designed by a man who never had to use it. There is no privacy. For the sake of future guests, proper doors on the toilet would be a good start. We were also on the ground floor, and the hallway noise was constant: late at night, early in the morning, people passing through with no sense that others might be sleeping, speaking very loudly. A simple sign asking guests to keep quiet in the hallway could make a real difference. Also there are no recycling bin in the bedroom and don’t think I have seen it in the hotel. Breakfast was overpriced, especially at 23 euros, but nothing else was open on Sunday, so we had little choice. Warm options were limited, and pastries kept running out whenever I tried to get one. The staff, to their credit, were helpful throughout. There aren’t many hotels in the area, so if I returned, I’d request a quiet room upstairs, and one with a properly designed bathroom.

Staff is not consistant, are not always good informed so given information to you can be wairy. To find the main entrance is a challenge by itself! Staff is not consistant, are not always good informed so given information to you can be wairy. To find the main entrance is a challenge by itself! Parking can be done at a 'private' section behind section H in ODA parking, but will cost you €10 extra if staying overnight! If you want to save €10 a night, take the car out after check-in (the procedure is again a challenge by itself by paying at a post in the reception, but don't forget to take the/a second parking ticket down at the ticketpole when waiting for the folding doors to leave the private parking to open!!), drive all the way out and park once again but now way back at section N. Take the elevator and walk around the church to the main entrance (inbetween the two churches, 4x right through the hotelgarden a 400m walk) or by use of the keycard to open the white door just right of George's restaurant in the hotelgarden (100m). Funny thing is you have to pay extra for cleaning service when staying more than 1 night. You can skip that but then you need to be bald to manage some clean towels if needed. Breakfast is standard, only scrambled eggs and pancakes as hot 'extra'. Thus the hotel is not bad, but definitely NOT worth 4 stars. One thing among some trifles: No suitcase stand present! Another: No shelf in the shower to place your shampoo... Al those little things can make your stay a dissapointment if 4 stars standard is to be expected. If not, then you're a happy camper.
