Having read many of the recent reviews I was dubious, if a little apprehensive before our stay however I was pleasantly surprised. The pool was excellent, clean and well maintained with lifeguards who were visible at all the main points and actively watching their area. The slides and rapids were great and the pool party on a Thursday night was a massive hit with our children. Yes, the floor in the changing rooms could have been a little cleaner BUT with that many people walking through I don’t know what the complainers on here expect. Take some flip flops and you’ll be fine. The activities were all great and a fraction of the cost you pay at a U.K. centre parcs. The accommodation is dated and yes it could do with a refresh HOWEVER we found our 2 bedroom apartment to be clean, especially the kitchen and bathroom that were more modern than expected. The floors are a bit dusty but we packed slippers and used the hoover provided when needed so again, no issue for us on the cleanliness front. The balcony was small but perfectly fine and useable. Remember to pack ALL your essentials down to soap, washing up liquid, toilet roll (only 1 was provided) etc but there is a well stocked shop on site if needed. Don’t forget to pack plenty of towels for your apartment and for swimming as these aren’t provided. We mostly cooked for ourselves using the gas hob. (Note there wasn’t an oven so plan ahead with your meals) We also paid for the buffet breakfast at Evergreens one morning and whilst the food was ok, it wasn’t worth the cost in my opinion. We loved the fact the site isn’t huge so you can reach everything in a few minutes on foot. The staff were all helpful and friendly too although be warned, come 10am on check out day they will be at your door ready to start cleaning! There is a beautiful and quiet beach VERY nearby which had a beach bar and toilet blocks. Would we visit again, absolutely!

“Fun park, poor accommodation”

We stayed in a 4 bedroom comfort cottage. It had 4 bedrooms, a really decent sized one on the first floor, a smaller one then on the top floor 2 bedrooms under eaves (watch out tall people). Going up and down was tough as it’s a tight spiral staircase all the way to the top, the 3 year old could easily have fallen through the bars. The top floor had a large terrace. The house was conveniently located, but really that’s the only positive. The house comes with nothing. No dishwashing liquid, no tea towels, no hand soap. However, the cooking pans and crockery were sufficient. On arrival, we found dishwasher needed salt and rinse aid which meant it didn’t clean very well, but it felt unfair to expect us to provide this as it should have been topped up before we arrived in my opinion, noting this is maintenance. For cooking there is a gas hob (one ring didn’t work) and a small oven/microwave. Knives were a bit blunt and the veg peeler was useless, but it was better than a lot of places. There’s a TV with a range of kids channels but again the TV was damaged and there were a few dead pixels. There’s also free WiFi and the speed was pretty good most of the time. We paid for the bed linen package, but although they came out of plastic seemingly freshly laundered many of the sheets were dirty and/or smelly. The beds are really uncomfortable. I’d recommend bringing your own pillows as the ones provided were pretty useless. Two of the duvets had urine stains on them and we had to exchange. The house itself was dirty and tired. To be fair, the age of the property isn’t a problem, but everything was just covered in decades of grime and dirt. Looking above where I laid my head, the wooden beam was filthy with goodness knows what. The kitchen had caked in grime. Despite assuming the place is cleaned before our arrival, we cleaned the floor and the wipes were black with filth. The stairs handrail was sticky. Also, the velux window leaked onto our bed when it rained. Ignoring the accommodation, the staff were very friendly and helpful. All the kids had an amazing time. The pool, again was tired, but still loads of fun. There’s plenty of activities in and off camp, and the prices weren’t as high as you’d find in the UK, for example. The playparks on site are great for kids, there’s a beach nearby which is great for activities and water sports. Just be aware it can be very windy so bring jackets. There’s indoor and outdoor mini golf, you can hire cars / bikes etc.
