Just had an absolutely enchanting evening fine dining at the Süllberg Hotel in Blankenese, one of the high end areas in Hamburg. The hotel has a ballroom overlooking the spacious beer garden with a breathtaking view of the Elbe river, plus 2 fine-dining restaurants, the Market place and the 2 Michelin Star Seven Seas restaurant. The location is really captivating, more so in the evening with a view of the illuminated container terminal across the river. Sun set is also spectacular from the terrace here. We were actually supposed to have dined in the Market Place restaurant, but this is closed at the moment due to Corona, so we dined in the beautiful ballroom. No regrets, as the ballroom is really charming with the two massive chandeliers hanging from the ceiling!😜 The meals were perfectly seasoned, succulent and so mouth-wateringly tasty.😋 The accompanying wines perfectly matched.🥂We had a five course menu consisting of sea trout, truffled lentil velouté, cod with risotto, ox shoulder and nougat and pumpkin cake with raspberry flavored ice cream!😋😋😋 Everything was promptly served and the service staff was very polite and attentive. Altogether a very successful evening. Prost!🥂

Booked an overnight stay so we could really enjoy the Severn Seas Restaurant. We were highly impressed by the Hotel Staff and the room that we booked. Staff were very helpful and polite. Arrived in the afternoon and were pleasantly surprised by a Bavarian Style Almhütte in the Beer Garden. Food and service were very good indeed. The Severn Ocean Restaurant has 2 stars and duly deserves both. The food and wine were simply Excellent, staff very knowledgeable regarding the food, wine and the after dinner drinks available. Can only really highly recommend the whole package. There was for me 1 negative point. I really enjoy an after dinner Cigar with a good Schnapps. The restaurant has a fantastic range of Schnapps including some very expensive and exclusive varieties. Now on the Hotel Web Site there is a picture of a Cigar Lounge and even the working states that after dinner you can relax on the Sofa and enjoy a really good Davidoff cigar with your drink so I took a really good Cigar with me. However the Lounge is really the corridor to the Restaurant so smoking is not allowed until the last Guest leaves the restaurant. Disappointing to find out right at the end. Do not misunderstand me here I am fully against smoking in bars and restaurants but when it is advertised as mentioned on the Web Site it is just a little well as said disappointing. But to recap, fully recommended for all aspects, top hotel and Top restaurant. Will go next time in Summer and sit outside for the Cigar in the Biergarten.

This hotel and restaurant is a hidden gem! I stay at a lot of hotels and rarely leave any review, but this one warrants a compliment. My adventure to Hamburg, Germany was short-notice, and after calling a few hotels in the area I was traveling, this hotel stood out. The customer service was outstanding as well as the price. Upon arrival the hotel clerk was professional, courteous and fun! The employees and the incredible property make the Hotel Sullberg a must stay or at a minimum a must stop at the restaurant. My room was the cleanest room I have ever stayed!! On top of this, I called at 1pm to make a reservation and there was a welcome letter on the desk along with fresh fruit in my room that was incredible. The staff made me feel like I was at home, and provided me with a full understanding of the property. Parking is easy as they have under ground available parking. The restaurant was amazing. I arrived late but the staff went above and beyond and offered me an assortment of cheese in the most professional manner I have never seen, to include bread and beverages. The Sullberg has phenomenal employees who value the customers - this is a must do!
