We enjoyed walking around the grounds and absorbing the history of the villa. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was great to have the pool to relax in. We will definitely be back!

Our stay at Villa Luppis in Italy has been nothing short of magical. As a family of three, we had the pleasure of staying in the Junior Suite, a charming two-floor accommodation that offered us ample space and comfort. The suite perfectly blended elegance with a cozy ambiance, making it feel like a home away from home. The history of Villa Luppis adds a unique dimension to the experience. Originally a monastery, the villa retains its rustic charm while offering modern luxuries. Walking through the hallways, you can feel the echoes of the past, with the beautifully preserved architecture and serene atmosphere that invites relaxation and reflection. One of the highlights of our stay was the amazing Italian buffet breakfast. Each morning, we were greeted with a delectable spread of fresh pastries, local cheeses, and an assortment of savory and sweet delights. It was the perfect way to start our day, indulging in the rich flavors of Italy. The variety and quality of the breakfast offerings were exceptional, catering to all tastes and preferences. The outdoor pool was another fantastic feature. Surrounded by lush gardens and offering a serene setting, it quickly became our favorite spot to relax and unwind. Whether we were taking a refreshing dip or lounging poolside, it was an absolute delight. The pool area is impeccably maintained, providing a picturesque setting that enhances the overall experience. A special mention must go to Beatrice, our wonderful host. Her warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care made our stay truly memorable. She went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, and her recommendations for local attractions were spot on. Beatrice’s personal touch and dedication to her guests' comfort truly set Villa Luppis apart. Dining at the villa’s restaurant was an exceptional experience as well. The à la carte menu offered a variety of tasty dishes, each prepared with the finest ingredients and an authentic touch. Every meal was a culinary journey, showcasing the rich and diverse flavors of Italian cuisine. From the antipasti to the desserts, each dish was a testament to the chef’s skill and passion for Italian food. The ambiance of the restaurant, with its elegant décor and attentive service, made every dining experience special. Hotel Villa Luppis is an enchanting and remarkable place nestled between Venice and the sea, with the Dolomites offering hiking and stunning views. This old monastery was transformed into a private mansion 300 years ago and later into a perfect gem of a hotel. I stumbled upon it by chance with limited expectations, but it was love at first sight, a feeling that deepened during my three-night stay. I can't pinpoint exactly what made it so special. The rooms are good, though not extraordinary, so it must have been something else. Perhaps it was the way the candles are lit in the trees in the evening, the friendliness of the staff, the ideal location—close to everything yet still in the countryside—the beautiful, park-like garden, or a combination of all these elements. Whatever it was, I am determined to return, this time for a leisurely stay with my wife.

We recently stayed at this hotel for one night and we left with some mixed feelings. We arrived and after some narrow maneuvering we parked our car on a big parking, where we immediately 'were greeted' by several beautiful oldtimer cars. While walking through a passage to the reception area, we realized we were in for a treat. What a beautiful building in a small but lovely park-like garden. We were welcomed with a warm smile by the Mrs. of the house and checked-in. This was a smooth and pleasant experience. We were assisted with our luggage and brought to our room. This was beautiful as well. Very tastefully decorated, ample space in both the bed- and bathroom with the underfloor heating on. We went to the beautiful lounge area for some drinks, enjoying the fire place. So far, five out of five stars: fantastic! We arrived at 19:10 hrs in the restaurant to learn from the staff that they only open at 19:30 hrs. Huh? Everywhere there were signs (for instance in the elevator), mentioning the opening hours of the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner and this stated 19:00 hrs! But ok, at least he didn't send us away. We were seated at a lovely round table at the fireplace. Ordered our water and a bottle of wine and browsed the menu. There were no set menu's so from the à la carte menu we both chose the seafood risotto for a starter, which was very nice. For mains my wife had lamb chops, and she was slightly disappointed that they were not nicely grilled. I regretted to have chosen the fried fish and shellfish main course. Everything on my plate was deep fried in batter, including even langoustines and prawns, which were still in the shell. How are you supposed to eat that? First peel away the batter and then peel the shell fish? The fact that this was served on a bed of very dry and tasteless polenta didn't help much either. As a result of these main courses, we decided to skip desserts. We had a decent night sleep in our bed, which mattress was a tad on the hard side. My only 'gripe' about the room is that we had to shower in a small bath tub, with screens that didn't help much. After showering a big part of the floor was soaking wet. Breakfast was a buffet, with rather limited choice. The biggest let down was the quality of the bread. Both the loaf and rolls were definitely not fresh. In fact we had exactly the same bread during dinner the night before, and then already it was dry. Such a nice place, with friendly people, where the restaurant eg catering part doesn't keep up with the fairytale building and location. Perhaps we were unlucky during wintertime, with only a few guests?
