Good hotel near to the city centre and to the cities historical attractions. It has a nice wiev to Gyula castle. The service is pretty good, staff was ok, rooms size big enough. The hotel has an indoor pool wiht saunas, and an outdoor pool to with a large terace too. Food - breakfast and dinner was ok. They have a closed parking lot near to the hotel - 5 min walk - .

“Nice stay”

Good hotel, some reconstrucrion would be needed. It was clean, the food was delicious. The wellness was also fine, with many sauna and pools. It is very close to the Castle and the view is beautiful. The staff was very polite and helpful. Nice place to stay.

We spent a long weekend at this nice hotel in the beautiful town of Gyula. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped, all of them are nicely styled. We spent a long weekend at this nice hotel in the beautiful town of Gyula. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped, all of them are nicely styled. The spa is not too big but has everything it needs, maybe a new coat of paint wouldn’t hurt. Staff is kind and helpful at every part of the hotel. Main problem is with the restaurant: the quality of the food is a bit below average and there’s not too many things to choose from.

This hotel overall isn’t too bad and on most aspects would get 4/5. The position is in a good, quiet position in Gyula’s castle park, the buffet breakfast was good and the buffet dinner, while it felt a bit down-market, was ok. The big let down is that the hotel’s website claims that its rooms are individually air conditioned. This is only true for some of the year - when we stayed it had been switched off. This amounts to false advertising and they should make clear the air conditioning is available only for some of the year. Mercifully it was possible to open our room’s window widely - onto a quiet garden - or it would have been very uncomfortable. Our daughter wasn’t so lucky - her room faced the road and she had the choice between being hot and noise. Also, the parking was a bit of a faff. There are parking spots at the front of the hotel but to use them you have to download and use a complicated app.

My wife and me spent two nights at Elizabeth Hotel, which locatin is perfect within walking distance to city centre and right behind the Gyula castle. This is a modern hotel with well designed and executed detailes, nice decorations. Check in was efficient, the staff at reception was professional and helpful. Our room was on the 3rd floor, just under the roof . It was also nicely decorated and clean but unfortunately had weired things too, such as it was extremly hot, the a/c was blowing hot air, there was only one bedside table in this double room, no lights were fitted to the beds etc. We hardly had amenities in the room e.g. shower cap, body lotion, tea tray atc. When we arrived we had even no bathrobes in the room thats were included in the package. After I complained at the rception we received two small ones. Since I am 186 cm tall I was not able to use it. The bathroom was the nicest part of the place but with the lack of amenities. On arrival we had only one shower gel and shampoo for two persons. Breakfast and dinner was in form of buffet, nothing extraordinary rather average with limted selection . Quality of food at dinner was better, all ones I selected tasted well. Cleanliness all over the place was excellent. Service was on the slow side e.g. at the bar it took me 15 minutes to get one coctail. Room tip: avoid rooms on 3rd floor. Slightly recommended due to location, cleanliness, beautifull design and professional staff at reception.
