“Dissapointed by the service”

The receptionist (the boy with the long hair) was so rude and ironic towards us. 3 times we needed his assistance he had the same bad attitude. It is so sad to experience such behaviour in a hotel like mercure.

I was in this hotel as a part of a business trip. Long story short, the organization that booked this hotel managed to get some discounts for people that were attending a conference and it just seemed like a nice place to host it and stay there. While the discounts were fine, we had to manually write an email to the hotel staff to confirm everything on our behalf and get the rooms booked. This was a tedious process as we were given the links at first which didn't work and prices which weren't discounted, hence we had to email the staff and sort everything out. This process took almost a month to finish, first the links that weren't working properly and then shuffling emails between two of the managers that were very hard to reach and then on occasion have made mistakes themselves in helping us book the rooms. I must say that this was very unprofessional of hotel managers. A thing that stood out the most, was the location of the hotel which was 2-3 minutes of walk to the nearest metro station, which really eased the exploration of the city. The rooms were fine and cleanliness was on a very good level. Though there were two things I must mention about the rooms that I disliked. First, it was very hot in the rooms. I tried turning the AC on and had no luck with it, as it seemed as it was turned on, on some preset that just couldn't be changed. So, I always had to sleep with my window open. Second thing is noise level. The door of the room seemed as it was completely hollow. You could audibly hear everything coming from the hall as somebody is talking right next to you. The restaurant was super good, especially for dinner. By the looks of the dishes server, I'd definitely put it as better than your regular average restaurant and the food was very tasty. Breakfast was also very nice with the variety of dishes to chose from. In the end there was one more thing that I thoroughly disliked and it was connected to hotel staff once again. On the day I was supposed to leave, a hotel maid knocked on my door at very early hours essentially waking me up before I normally would. Mind you, I basically didn't have the chance to react, and when I woke up, she was inside the room. She then understood that she woke me up, and just excused herself and left the room. Later on, that same day, about an hour before it was time to check-out from the hotel, the same thing happened. She knocked, and almost immediately unlocked the room with her master key and entered, while not leaving a second or two for me to say that I'm still inside. Upon seeing me, she again excused herself and left in a hurry. I consider this extremely rude and unprofessional. First, she probably wasn't told that I was still in the room by hotel staff/managers, so I assume there was a miscommunication between them and second her entering the room without waiting for anyone inside to say anything or react is just extremely rude. On both occasion when she entered my room, the situation was "fine" in a sense that nothing happened. But imagine a situation where she entered when I was on my way to take a shower and saw me naked in the room. I considered this an extreme invasion of privacy. Bearing in mind everything I had to deal with, with hotel staff and managers, this was a very bad experience. Everything else was ok, but considering how hotel staff was acting in previously described situations, I'm hesitant to recommend this hotel.
