We stayed for three nights, our first visit to the lovely city of Szeged. We had an Executive Room. The hotel is excellent. We had comfortable beds, a clean and spacious room with balcony, a quiet situation and of course a perfect situation - right by the splendid Cathedral and in the absolute centre of Szeged. The staff were all friendly, helpful and kind to us. Breakfast had a good range of foods, we had no complaints, and an interesting novelty to be able to scoop honey direct from the comb!. The only complaint we DID have - one we only made when the Duty Manager, on our departure, asked if everything had been alright - was that although my husband had a decent enough dinner on our first night, unfortunately I could not say the same for my own order. I was served a terrible plate of almost cold, only partially cooked, cod in a stone cold white sauce with lukewarm greasy friend vegetables. As it was our first night at the Art Hotel I paid for the meal because I did not want to start off on the wrong foot. When the Duty Manager learned this he promptly took off two nights of the three nights charge for the Hotel's underground parking. I did not ask for that but was very grateful for his consideration. Of course we never ate at the Hotel's restaurant again. I would thoroughly recommend a stay at the Art Hotel but would urge caution about eating dinner there at the moment. Parking is 5,000 forints per night, payable at the end along with the small city tax.

A good location in a quiet area. We used only for a night in transit. The rooms are clean and well designed. A good location in a quiet area. We used only for a night in transit. The rooms are clean and well designed. The only one minus was the absence of the minibar in the room but a service to put some product in the fridge near the reception/bar was offered. In this moment the hotel was in a rehabilitation process and we were informed in the future the minibars will be added. At the reception in the morning were informed there is a possibility at your request to move one minibar from another rooms. The breakfast is very good with a lot of products. The parking on the streets is free on the weekend, the hotel parking will charge you separately if will used.

“1st of May - long weekend with 1 and a half year old baby”

Location: very good Rooms: The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. The floor was very dirty, I had 5 pairs of brand new light colored socks, I take them all home with brown soles. Dust was deposited on the clothes storage shelves, which were very few. Basically when you put your clothes on, you dirty them too. The glasses and spoons in the room were dusty and dirty with limescale too. In the bathroom, everything seemed clean at first glance. Dust on the floor again, and on the edge of the bathtub I found cut hair. The air conditioning system in the rooms has not yet been switched to cold air, so no matter what you do, the climate gives hot air, and if you don't open the window, you wake up with temperatures over 30 degrees in the room, and with such a small baby, it's not pleasant at all. The hallway smells of food very strongly, even on the 3rd floor. Breakfast: OK Pretty well organized. The waiters are very responsive. They had a very dirty baby chair that was still being used in the room. There was no fresh fruit at breakfast on any day, only jams or candied fruits or compotes. Staff: Friendly.
