This apartment typifies Iceland, modern, clean and stylish. Once we found the entrance, round the back, thank goodness for the picture on the info we accessed the door by key code and found everything we could need for our 4 day break. There's a small kitchenette with microwave, sink, toaster and coffee machine, which is topped up with pods throughout your stay and all the cutlery and plates etc. You'll need. If you hire a car like we did the apartments are only a ten minute drive from the centre of Reykjavik and close to the main road that leads you to the 41 or the 1 and the main tourist attractions. There is a really nice coffee shop at the bottom of the hill as well as dominos and a bonus. Further up the hill is a kronus market which is open later. As a base to go out and explore the south of Iceland from these apartments are a great choice.

“Great apartment, couldn't fault it! ”

My partner surprised me to this trip to Iceland and the apartment topped it too! It has everything you need and we stayed for 6 days. We had a deluxe room which overlooked the mountains. The room was topped up with towels and new coffee (dolce gusto pods) every other day. It was clean and warm. There was also parking around the back which is were you access the property. The apartment had a hairdryer, and the kitchen had a microwave oven and a toaster. There was also an iron and a safe. I don't know about transport to get to the centre as we hired a car but it only took 10 minutes to get to the centre. There is also a supermarket and restaurants around the corner. Would definitely stay again!

We visited Reykjavik the last week of January for 5 days. We had an absolute wonderful stay at this apartment. The manager Lilja is wonderful. She was extremely friendly and helpful. We received an email 2 days before we were due to arrive to the apartment with directions on how to find the apartment, the carpark and clear instructions on how to find the entrance to the apartment. Lilja had also given us instructions on how to access the apartment using a set code on the digital keypad on the main entrance door and the door to our apartment. This was great as it meant we were able to arrive any time and just put our things in before we head straight out to explore the city!! The apartment exceeded our expectations as everything within the apartment was very well thought out. There is a microwave with a grill function. We didn’t use the grill function, only the microwave function. The apartment has microwavable tubs to enable you to make basic meals. It is fully equipped with plates, bowls, mugs, glasses, cutlery. There are also washing up liquid, a cleaning cloth, a draining mat, kitchen tissue, a tea towel. There is a fridge with a freezer compartment too. We loved the lights in the apartment! And the great space saving ideas of a pull up side table, the pull down bedside mini tables which were great for you to put a glass of water or your phone next to you when you sleep. There is also a wardrobe which has a safe where you can reset your own PIN number to to lock it. There is a flat screen tv which had English channels so that was great, but to be honest there’s so much to see and do in Reykjavik both during the daytime and the night time eg catching the magical Aurora Borealis!!! The bathroom was amazing! We loved the shower! A powerful shower! There is shower gel provided and some travel sized shampoo conditioner, which was lovely. We did bring our own in case as we read so many reviews that Iceland is very expensive for everything! We loved that the apartment is literally around the corner from Bonus supermarket! Please bear in mind though that Bonus shuts at 6pm! They sell lots of different brands and from reviews apparently Bonus is the most reasonably priced! Still more expensive than uk but much cheaper than eating out!! So it was great to buy Breakfast and things to pack lunch with, as we were pretty much on the move driving to places.. golden circle (Thingvellir National Park, Gullfoss, Geysir), Laugarvatn Fontana geotherm spa which was amazing! Highly recommend!!!! If you are looking for a cheaper meal then IKEA is great, which is very close the the apartment! Our car unfortunately had something wrong with the exhaust and we happened to be passing by IKEA on on our way back from the golden circle route back into Reykjavik, so we parked in IKEA to call our car rental company. After the car was sorted we decided to just have easy dinner at IKEA.. it was great! Meatball dinner for 845ISK!! That’s like £6.40!!! Cheapest meal you will find in Iceland! They also served chicken wings too! All meat produce are expensive in Iceland, as with most products that are shipped in. Around the apartment are a few restaurants if you didn’t mind spending, and also a bakery too if you wanted to buy breakfast. The bed was very comfortable and there is a sofa bed too if you are 3 people. I emailed Lilja the day before we arrive to let her know we were 3 people instead of 2, and when we arrived the sofa bed was already set up ready! The apartment is in a very good location as it was only about a 10 min drive to Reykjavik town centre, and 10 min drive to the greyline bus terminal where we joined the Aurora Borrealis tour！ we highly recommend joining the tour though as they knew where to go and when to go! Plus night time driving in your rental car is treacherous so we were glad we left the driving to the coach drivers! In addition, you could snooze on the coach as they set off at either 8pm or 9pm and don’t return until 1-2pm! Overall, we thought the apartment was amazing! Can’t fault at all!! We will definitely be staying here again in the near future!
