“Simply Excellent!”
If you're looking for a nice, inviting, clean guesthouse, in a central place, with plenty of (free) parking, and a welcoming atmosphere, then Guesthouse Mikael is definitely the place for you! “Vacation”
I highly recommend this place. It was lovely, located next to restaurants, the harbor and walking paths. Check-in was a breeze. There was a small dining area, kitchen access and sitting area. It was clean and very comfortable and easy parking, too.

“Clean, comfortable stay”
By this point in our trip we were used to places sending us emails with entry codes and Guesthouse Mikael was no different. “Very pleasant hotel, highly recommend.”
We were in room 8 on the ground floor and were very pleased with the room and it’s facilities for our one night stay. Parking is plentiful and near the front door. You need a code to get in to the front door and then into your room. The hotel is well situated with at least 5 restaurants within 100m… more

“OK but not memorable”
I think for memory this was the cheapest place we stayed at in Iceland. There is a lock on the front door with a pin. We arrived at 3.00pm and couldn't get in or make ourselves heard.
