“The location and hotel staff were attentive making our stay nice.”
We had an issue with road closures and could not reach the hotel in the first night. They were kind enough to refund for that night. The one night that we did stay at the hotel, we found the staff to be helpful. The rooms were clean.

Clean and comfortable room, bathroom shared, but always availabel, perfectly clean and completely equipped. We also found an extra sink in the room, very appreciated. No noise at all. Hotel Jökul was unfortunately a bit of a disappointment. We arrived late at night in the rain and darkness, which made it a bit difficult to find the reception and there was little indication that there was a hotel there. “keep driving”
The staff were not happy working there, and it showed. The rooms are adequate, the shower is good, the restaurant was very limited, head to Holmavik to Cafe Riis. The bed was comfortable, the room small, we would not stay there again
