“Perfect location and nice hotel”
We stayed at this hotel for two nights and found it to be a great location. Easy walking to anywhere downtown. It was a bit interesting that you check in at the restaurant hostess desk for the hotel, then walk next door to your room. The hotel was clean and bed, pillows and shower very comfortable.… more

“Perfectly central no frills accommodation.”
As a solo traveller, you usually get the worst room in the hotel. For the price of a single room in other Akuryeri hotels, I was able to get a superior double room at Centrum Hotel. “God location, decent breakfast but check what size room you need”
Excellent location in the centre of Akureyri. We opted for a superior room as had read that some of the other cheaper ones were tiny. “Good base to stay in Akureyri”
I am not sure why it is listed as hostel on TripAdvisor. It is a hotel with a restaurant on the first floor. Checking in process was in the bar area. The room was nice and clean. I would give it 5 stars if it weren’t the smell from kitchen going upstairs. It wasn’t strong but one could smell it. … more
