If you are looking to escape the chaos of city life and wake up to panoramic views of the Himalayas, Imperial Heights in the Binsar/Kasar Devi region is an exceptional choice. The Vibe and Location The resort is perched on a scenic ridge, offering a deeply tranquil and almost spiritual atmosphere—which makes sense given its proximity to the famous Kasar Devi temple (known for its unique geomagnetic energy). It is not located inside the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary, but rather on the approach towards it, which actually makes it easier to access while still offering spectacular, unobstructed views of the Nanda Devi and Trishul peaks. What to Expect Imperial Heights does an excellent job of combining rustic mountain charm with modern comforts. Here are the highlights of the stay: The Rooms: The rooms are spacious, exceptionally clean, and feature beautiful wood paneling and stone masonry. You absolutely must book a "Valley View" or "Himalayan View" room—waking up and seeing the snow-capped peaks right from your bed is the highlight of the property. The Food: The in-house restaurant serves a great variety of North Indian, Continental, and Chinese dishes. However, the real standout is their local Kumaoni thali. The staff is very accommodating and happy to customize meals if you prefer less spice. The Hospitality: The staff here is warm, polite, and always smiling. They go out of their way to arrange bonfires in the evening, which is the perfect way to unwind as the mountain air turns chilly. The Grounds: The terraced gardens are beautifully maintained, offering plenty of quiet nooks to read a book, sip some masala chai, or just take in the scenery. The Catch: Accessibility and Connectivity There are a couple of things to keep in mind before booking. First, the final approach road to the resort is quite steep and a bit rugged. If you are driving your own vehicle, make sure you are comfortable with hill driving, or simply ask the hotel to send a vehicle to pick you up from the main road. Second, because of the remote location, the Wi-Fi and mobile network connectivity can be spotty. This is fantastic if you want a digital detox, but not ideal if you are planning a "workcation" that requires heavy video conferencing. The Verdict Imperial Heights is a fantastic getaway for couples, families, and nature enthusiasts seeking peace, crisp mountain air, and stellar hospitality. It strikes the perfect balance between a luxury stay and an authentic Himalayan experience. Tip: Wake up at least 15 minutes before sunrise and head to the outdoor terrace. Watching the first rays of the sun turn the Himalayan peaks a brilliant gold is an experience you won't easily forget!

We had a wonderful stay at Imperial Heights, Kasar. The hotel is ideally located near the famous Kasar Devi Temple, known for its unique geomagnetic significance and serene spiritual ambience. The peaceful surroundings, beautiful Himalayan views, excellent food, and warm hospitality made our stay truly memorable. There are several good cafés and restaurants nearby, adding to the convenience. The property is quiet and relaxing, though occasional visits from local monkeys add a touch of hill-station charm. A great choice for anyone seeking comfort, tranquility, and easy access to one of Uttarakhand's most fascinating destinations.
