My wife and I had a delightful stay at this hotel for 4 days. We returned after a long time. In the front office Ms. Nayantara, Ms. Manasi and Mr. Lakshay all ensured that everything was smooth and quick and we received an early room just the one we wanted. The food at Varq was too good. The House Keeping with Mr. Chandrashekhar and Mr. Govind were very attentive. But the Club Lunge was the highlight of the stay with M/s Jaydip, Varun, Akshat, Houkip, Satinder, Lakshmi Narayan, Raktim. Ms. Sanjeda (mixologist) was very attentive as also Ms. Ashi. The green view over Lutyen's Delhi from the Club Lounge and our Club Room was very refreshing.

Absolutely overjoyed with experience I received from the hands of TAJ MAHAL Delhi team We were looked after by Piyush the front office manager and what an asset this person is for team ,please promote him further for his impeccable service Moving to room ,the cleanliness and hygiene plus air quality standards surpass every other hotel so thank you cleaning team . The whole stay was 8nights from April -May and the lady named Anushka in Machan was someone In would hire for my business ,she knows her clients prefernce inside out and her little interactions makes you feel home so thank you Anushka ,please give her a rise Staying that long means going for Spa and kudos to Seema ,Sahil,rekha and everyone down there who equally looked after me and my mother .My mother has decided to make this place for future stays in Delhi Lastly the security team named amresh and dharmesh and Conceirge lady Shradda I can’t thank enough for looking after us I am pleased by all of your service and give my heartfelt gratitude 🙏 for your service .All of you mentioned here deserve special token of consideration So thank you Taj and see you soon Namaste 🙏 Simrat Chahal

“Mixed feelings”

The Taj Mahal hotel, situated in New Delhi boasts impressive interiors. As soon as you enter the hotel, you are greeted by the sight of impressive Mughal domes, some portions carved with mille fleurs, flowers, and the talismanic bowls made of copper and brass. However, the check-in process at the reception was disappointing, lacked warmth, professionalism, and organization. Even basic niceties such as 'please have a seat' were also missing. We had booked a Taj Club suite. The suite was spacious, the space was beautifully organised, and the windows offered an enviable view of Delhi. A minibar was missing in the room. The Taj Club lounge was lovely, but again, the staff was super unfriendly. One staff member even rolled her eyes in response to a simple question. The staff definitely needs a lot of training! Some of them don't even how to answer basic questions. Similarly, food at Machan was great, but service lacked warmth. Do try the 'Bulls eye' dessert at Machan. I had breakfast at the Taj Club lounge, which offers limited options. It is better to opt for the buffet at Machan. It was only during the checkout that I came across a friendly face (I'm unable to recall the name, but it might have been Ayaan or Abeer). I would also like to express my thanks for the housekeeping and security staff. My overall impression staying at multiple Taj properties is that while the senior staff exemplifies the essence of 'Tajness' (the iconic Taj hospitality), the junior staff often comes across as arrogant, unprofessional, and unfriendly. They fail to meet even the basic expectations, let alone the high standards set by the Taj group. Given the convenient location of the hotel and its tasteful interiors, I am likely to return. However, I do have the impression that I am not welcomed here. (P.S. - I spent the last three nights of my trip at the Oberoi, New Delhi and I will highly recommend it over the Taj Mahal Hotel. )
