Came here for 2 nights on a solo trip. One thing that became quite noticeable was that there were virtually no other guests- other than 2 families, I didn't see a single other person during my three days here who were not staff. Room: I was upgraded but later had to be moved because there were ants in my room and the AC was dripping all over the floor. New room was quite nice and comfortable. Staff: The staff definitely made this an unforgettable experience...but not always for the right reasons. First of all, there were a lot of staff (probably more staff than guests) and there were times when some of them clearly had very little that needed doing. During all of the meals I had, some members of staff had gotten so bored that they had resorted to staring at me whilst I ate. This was also the case when I went for a swim- about 5 members of staff were really keen to watch me swim, and there were a couple of times where I had to use a translator to ask them to stop watching me. There's being attentive, and then there's being too attentive. Food: Probably the best part of this whole experience, food was always really good and reasonably priced. Although on the last day of breakfast, they did mess up my order- not quite sure how as I was the only person in the restaurant. A couple other things I wanted to note was that the locks on all the doors are really stiff, and there's no safe in the room. The hotel manager didn't seem to think this was an issue, as they have a safe in reception you can use, and "all our rooms are very safe". However, surely all hotel managers would say that about their rooms? If not, then I'd be very concerned. Overall, the grounds of this place are lovely, and quite relaxing if the staff aren't watching your every move. This place would be great if you were part of a tour, but definitely not somewhere I'd recommend for solo travellers, especially in the off season.

I went there for a wedding and shared the room with two friends. The room was prepared for 2 people so we were missing an extra bed and amenities for the third person. My friend noticed white powder coming from the bath towels. Since I checked in with a group of people, my luggage went to another guest's room despite a tag with my name and room number tied to it. The intercom in the room was not working, I had to keep going to the reception to get an update. I had to wait almost an hour or so for my luggage to be found. Overall, the stay was decent, and the breakfast was nice. We called for housekeeping and they were quick with the room cleaning and providing us with an extra bed. It's a good property surrounded by hills.
