I had a good stay here at Ellaa hotels and the staff are very helpful and friendly and I love the swimming pool and I enjoyed the walking in the garden and the spa have taken good care of me and I enjoyed the restaurant food and staff was ssoooo friendly and the person Vinay who keep my room clean and neat..restaurant staff Kavya,lithika and other staff are soo good and courteous and responsive and I felt very happy and staying in Ellaa hotel

“Very good property and service”

Very good property and service ( reception, housekeeping). They were very accomodative of our small kids and baby needs. there is a lawn right outside the hotel which is very good for kids. The food is quite good too. Overall highly Recommended!!!

First trip to India with our almost 4 year old & 8 month old so we wanted something good for accommodation. We had our friend in India book for us & we paid at the hotel - there was some issue that the price was quoted incorrectly to us, as it didn’t include the 18% tax or whatever which was annoying & like with many things, probably would have been different if we were locals. • the room was fairly average, however perhaps you have to expect that coming from Australia. Nothing fancy or overly nice. We had a large room that had a bedroom and lounge area & kitchenette & bathroom • the kitchenette didn’t have any utensils or plates/bowls etc but was handy as it had a microwave • the bathroom wasn’t great - just looked run down, discolored grout, cracks in tiles, limescale etc there was a bath but didn’t look very clean • toilet worked & they provided toilet paper • shower worked & had hot water • we only ever got 2 towels so had to ask each time for 2 more (family of 4) • bedroom was simple - queen sized bed, and they provided an extra mattress for the floor for our 3 year old for no extra cost • lounge area was also simple - had a tv but no access to something like Netflix, only local channels and even then not much available - none in English at least • all the furniture faux leather was peeling, not in a disgusting way, more in a ‘it’s just old’ way • good view from the window (level 5) • room cleaning service available each day • room food service available which was handy as dinner didn’t start till 7pm which was sometimes too late for us with kids • The pool was great fun for decompressing with the kids after a hot day • restaurant was good - a lot of authentic Indian options but other western options too, including pancakes & cereal at breakfast & cold milk (hot milk is more common) • we really enjoyed some of the curries from the restaurant menu • an espresso martini wasn’t on the menu but the bartender came out to confirm and he easily made it which was awesome • Jack Daniel’s Liquor amounts were inconsistent 30ml/60ml but one night I doubt it was even 30ml despite checking with the waitress • Kavya was a great hostess & was able to help to look after the 8 month old whilst we could eat - this was amazing & simply would never happen in Australia • the other manager type lady was also kind and helpful • all staff were kind and helpful really, when the reception desk gave us a list of cab charge options, one of the managers at the front showed us how to get Uber to work (we have an Indian SIM card) & it was SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper and much easier for us. We are very grateful for this as it allowed us to get out to get a good coffee - despite the restaurant being good - the coffee was terrible! Something I would like to ask is that staff develop rapport before asking for pictures with the kids. This photo taking of kids just doesn’t happen in places like Australia & although as adults we can understand, it was extremely overwhelming for the 3 year old - especially having been exploring outside and being constantly asked for photos — we just wanted to be sort of left alone at the hotel, conversation is great but photos were quite annoying. Most staff were respectful of this. Also, please consider allowing guests the 500ml water bottles AND 1L water bottles for free. It doesn’t make sense why using more plastic is free?? You could get 1L in the restaurant but it cost money. Otherwise we were given 5-6 x 500ml each day and could request more at reception for free. There was also an okay garden area outside which was nice to walk on - as walking along the streets is way too risky as foreigners with kids - basically no side walks. Mosquitoes were out and about on dusk though. At payment of our tab at the end (restaurant, 1x dry cleaning which was expensive, etc) , there was an issue with being double charged for the buffet at the restaurant which was also weirdly expensive in comparison to the ordinary menu. This caused a bit of low key drama as they make you sign the pre-tax invoice upon leaving the restaurant (which my husband had mistakenly). It was sorted out after probably 30 minutes but was a bit petty considering the hotel is clearly already charging a ‘tourist tax’ within all its prices. I would like to try other 4/5 star hotels in India - because right now I don’t have much to compare it with - only Australian standards which are evidently quite high. Thanks Ellaa Hotel - no sickness whilst staying with you, and we were all safe *** Amaro cafe was about 5 mins by Uber and makes good coffee & has a nice western vibe if looking for a break from the craziness

“Average stay, not recommended ”

Overall, the stay was average. The food quality, room service, and access to the main road were satisfactory. The worst part is that if you wanted to switch on/off the room lights, you have to travel to the room entrance, as the switches were placed next to the main door.
