It’s been some 6th or 7th time I visited this hotel, even when it was earlier under a different name and later came under The Fern brand. It’s been some 6th or 7th time I visited this hotel, even when it was earlier under a different name and later came under The Fern brand. I have not experienced any other hotel hence can’t comment if this is the best, but we had a great experience specially the staff attentiveness. From reservations from Ms. Rohini to Restaurant staff Mr. Arvind / Mr. Nilesh. Reception person Mr. Prithvi S was helpful too. We are surely coming next time when in Kolhapur.

We stayed at The Fern, Kolhapur as a couple with our four-year-old, and we had a wonderful experience. Before booking, we came across quite a few mixed reviews, which made us a little skeptical. However, after staying here ourselves, we can confidently say that the property exceeded our expectations. The hotel is very well maintained, and from the moment we checked in, everything felt comfortable, clean, and premium. Our room on the 8th floor was spacious, plush, and perfect for a family. The in-room amenities were excellent—not just the standard offerings, but thoughtful additions like a hairdryer, an ironing board, and a comfortable workspace. The room was spotless, and the housekeeping team did a great job maintaining hygiene throughout our stay. One of the highlights was the view. If you're planning to stay here, I highly recommend requesting a higher-floor room facing NH-48. The panoramic views are stunning—you can watch both the sunrise and sunset right from your bed. The ambiance in the room made it even more relaxing. The food was another pleasant surprise. The breakfast buffet had a generous spread of both Indian and continental options. Everything was freshly prepared, flavorful, and of very good quality. We also found the service to be prompt and courteous. Although the hotel is located a little outside the main city, we never found it inconvenient. Kolhapur isn't very spread out, and with light traffic, it's easy to reach all the major attractions by auto-rickshaw or your own vehicle within a short time. Overall, we had a very comfortable and memorable stay. We would happily recommend The Fern, Kolhapur to families, couples, and even international travelers looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained hotel with excellent amenities and great hospitality.
