I stayed at The Resort, Madh Island with my family for 2 nights in March 2026, and overall it was a pleasant experience with a mix of excellent facilities and some disappointing service aspects. This review will help you decide if it’s the right place for your stay. ✅ What We Loved (Pros) 1. Beautiful, Spacious & Well-Maintained Property The resort is quite large with plenty of open garden space. It’s perfect for morning/evening walks and relaxing with family. Cleanliness is top-notch inside the property, and you can clearly see that maintenance is taken seriously. 2. Premium Beach View Room Experience We booked a Premium Beach View Room with Balcony, and honestly, it was one of the highlights of our stay. From the 3rd floor, we could enjoy views of both the beach and the swimming pool. Sitting in the balcony with family in the evening was a very peaceful and memorable experience. 3. Excellent Swimming Pool The swimming pool is big, clean, and well-maintained. We spent a lot of time here without any issues. Towels are provided, which is convenient and adds to the overall experience. 4. Superb Buffet Breakfast Breakfast was one of the best parts of our stay. The variety is impressive—North Indian, South Indian, Chinese, Italian—you name it, they have it. Everything was fresh and well-prepared, making mornings very enjoyable. 5. Bird Farm – A Unique Experience One of the most unique features is their bird area. They have parrots and other exotic birds, and guests can interact and feed them. This was especially enjoyable for families and kids. 6. Indoor Games & Activities They have a sports/game room with options like table tennis. It’s a great way to spend time indoors, and we had a lot of fun here. ❌ What Could Be Improved (Cons) 1. Extremely Rigid High Tea Policy High tea (4–5 PM) was included in our package. We reached exactly around 5 PM after sightseeing, and despite everything being set up, the staff refused to serve anything, saying the time was over. This felt unnecessarily strict and disappointing. A little flexibility or offering it in-room could have made a big difference. 2. Inconsistent Staff Service While some staff members were fine, others were not attentive or helpful. Basic questions like directions to the beach or timings of facilities were not properly answered. It felt like guest assistance was not a priority for some staff. 3. Poor Luggage Assistance This was one of the most disappointing parts. From check-out to reaching the parking area, no one came to help with luggage—even after calling reception multiple times and personally requesting staff. Eventually, we had to carry everything ourselves. Surprisingly, once we reached the taxi, staff appeared expecting tips, which did not feel appropriate at all for a resort of this level. 4. Surroundings Outside the Resort While the resort itself is very clean, stepping just outside the premises is a completely different story. The nearby area and even the beach outside are quite dirty, making it difficult to enjoy walks outside the property. The management should at least maintain cleanliness in the immediate surrounding area. ⭐ Overall Verdict The property itself is excellent—clean, spacious, and packed with good amenities. It’s definitely a great option for a relaxing family stay, especially if you plan to spend most of your time inside the resort. However, service quality and guest handling need serious improvement. Small things like flexibility in high tea, better staff responsiveness, and proper luggage assistance can significantly enhance the experience. 👉 I would have happily given this a 5-star rating, but due to the issues mentioned—especially missing out on the included high tea and poor service — I would rate it 3 out of 5. 💡 Tip for Future Guests Try to strictly follow activity timings (especially high tea) Don’t expect much from outside surroundings—plan to enjoy inside the resort Confirm service expectations (like luggage assistance) in advance
