We just got back from a staycation at the Taj Land's End and it was a good experience. W stayed there for a total of 3 nights. Amidst a very busy work schedule that had me WFH here, I did manage to soak quite a bit of Tajness. The check-in was super quick. The hotel upgraded us to the Serenity Sea View room in the 15th floor, which was a divine. it was a large room with a very large bath/WC. Beds were comfortable and since I was going to WFH, I had requested for a room with a good desk, which the hotel had provided to us. Food was good, though a bit pricier than the usual pricey. We tried their Vista (all-day dining) for breakfast and lunch, Ming Yang (the Chinese restaurant) and the bar lounge on the lobby level. All three places were great. Ming Yang is one of the best Chinese cuisine restaurants out there; I can vouch. Absolutely lip-smacking food. The ground floor lounge bar is very exquisite, run by an all-women staff. Atmosphere here is great and so was my chicken sandwich. Vista has a great vibe too. My special compliments to the staff; that has always been Taj's strength. Vista is absolutely busy for breakfast, especially during weekends. But the staff is ever so cordial and work under tremendous pressure. Yet, they always smile and take care of all our needs. Kudos! The grand floor lounge bar staff was also great. And so was Ming Yang staff, front office and check - out counter. My compliments also to the spectacular housekeeping staff, especially to the slightly senior nice gentlemen (he served us on our 15th floor) who used to always look after our needs. I highly recommend Taj Land's End.

We visited India for the Easter holidays and started in Mumbai with a 4 night stay at Taj Lands End. As our flight from UK was going to arrive quite early, we had pre-requested an early check in and the hotel kindly accommodated our request. The hotel has a great location and well placed for travel into the main city (via the Bandra-Worli Sea Link), the shopping areas in Bandra and also up to Juhu beach. We had two rooms close to each other – both well appointed to the standard one would expect with comfortable beds (and they were well maintained by the friendly housekeeping staff). The pool was nice and refreshing for a dip after a hot day and the attendants were polite and friendly. My husband used the gym and said it was well equipped. There was live music on some nights which was great. The concierge staff we helpful in giving us information in more detail on what to see (and what to avoid!). We needed to speak to a doctor and the Taj was excellent at getting us a doctor we could speak to immediately (for free). The only downside in our opinion was the food – the breakfast buffet contained the usual spreadvariety but, for example, the pastry products tasted quite bland and not in keeping with what one might expect from a hotel with this rating. We also tried room service and the food at the bar area too, but again, not particularly great in taste or flavour (and definitely not for the price). We resorted to eating out thereafter. We stayed at 7 other hotels after here, at each of those, the food, even if more limited in range, was excellent. The other downside was the use of one time plastic bottles for the toiletries at this hotel…there was so much plastic waste in India so its a shame that a huge brand like Taj cannot use re-fillable dispensers. Food aside, we enjoyed our stay overall and would consider staying again on our next visit.

We spent 4 days in a Taj club room on the highest (25th) floor. It was once again a memorable stay, the room.and view were perfect. The lounge access was a great plus. I personally really enjoyed the afternoon tea at the lounge and their selection of food and drinks in a very relaxed and classy atmosphere. The housekeeping and lounge personal pampered us. The only reason I did not give an excellent score, was because we booked a taj club room specially for the previledge of the early check in and late check out. But we had to literally 'fight' with the front office for that, saying that they had no availability but if we pay extra its available! That spoiled the Tajness effect!
