“Nice Hotel”

Excellent hotel with nice rooms and washrooms too was good . Had stayed in standard room no 210 for a day. Breaskfast too was good with many varieties kept. I would really recommend travellers to visit this hotel and would surely come again if visiting Coimbatore

I stayed at this hotel in 2018. Since then the standards have not only be maintained they have even improved. The premises, still look new, though no renovation has been done. Cleanliness & maintenance is even better than some of the four star hotels. Complimentary kits, breakfast all are great at this price point. Location is prime and staff os polite and helpful. Overall if you are not looking at great luxury (gym and swimming pool), this hotel us absolutely where you need to stay at Coimbatore.

We reserved a “Standard Double Room” via Booking.com. Check-in: This was an absolute pain and the reason why I can’t in good conscience give them 5 🌟. (1) According to Booking.com, no prepayment for the room is required. Over the span of two days however I received six/seven emails requesting prepayment (via external link). I responded to the first two emails, received no response from the hotel and just ignored the subsequent emails. Shortly before arriving in Coimbatore, I received another message saying that my reservation has been cancelled “At my request”. This was an issue which could be sorted out at the check-in counter. (2) Just when I thought that the unpleasantries were behind us, they asked if it is Ok to take a photo of me “for government regulation purposes”. Asking is perfectly fine, but that also fixes me the right to say no. We then proceeded to have a 5min+ discussion on why I don’t want a photo taken. Ultimately, this was resolved when I queried the relevance of the request, pointed out that none of the other hotels over the past five weeks made a similar request and asked to see the government regulation requiring this. Room: The pictures of the room were a fair representation of the actual room. The room was clean, well-maintained and comfortable. What we loved about the room was: 1. the bed mattress was firm (neither warm out nor stiff) and the pillows were in really good condition and provide proper neck support; 2. the sound proofing of the room is excellent; and 3. the curtains blocked out all light from the room. Probably one of the best stays I had in India. Restaurant: We used the restaurant for convenience sake and notwithstanding the fact that the restaurant has no reviews. It wasn’t out-of-this-world, but it was freshly prepared with whole ingredients and safe to eat. Breakfast: Nothing to write home about. A variety of Indian carbs with lentil curry, sambar and chutney. Would I theoretically return: Although the room was great, I probably would not return. Between the burdensome check-in and their “no unmarried couples” policy there are probably better options in the city.
