We have just spent a few unforgettable days at The Oberoi in Udaipur, and it is hard to do justice in a few lines to the generosity of the welcome we received. **An unexpected upgrade.** On arrival, we were surprised and deeply touched to be upgraded to a magnificent suite. The space, the private terrace, the light, the uninterrupted view over Lake Pichola at sunrise — it transformed an already beautiful stay into something we will be talking about for years. It was offered with no fuss and no fanfare, simply as a gesture of hospitality, which made it all the more meaningful. **A special mention for Mr. Ibrahim.** As a family observing kashrut, we bring in our own kosher food from outside — a request many hotels find awkward, and some cannot accommodate at all. Mr. Ibrahim handled it with a grace and professionalism we have rarely encountered anywhere in the world. Nothing was treated as a complication. Storage, delivery timing, dedicated arrangements at the table, coordination with our providers — all of it anticipated before we had to ask. He checked in discreetly at each meal, never intrusive, always genuinely attentive. That is the mark of true hospitality: not simply saying yes, but making guests feel their needs are entirely normal and entirely welcome. The rest of the team deserves equal praise — from the front desk to housekeeping to the staff around the pool, everyone was courteous, warm, and remarkably attentive to detail. We left Udaipur feeling genuinely looked after. Thank you, Mr. Ibrahim, and thank you to the entire Oberoi Udaivilas team. We hope to return.

“Easily one of our best stays ever”

Such a stunning property right on Lake Pichola. Loved the heritage vibe, the peacocks roaming around, and just how peaceful the whole place is. Having lovely breakfast and dinner right by the lake was an absolute highlight, and overall the food and service were 10/10. Can't wait to come back!

Chef Vansh went above and beyond to ensure that our breakfast experience was unique every single morning, delighting us with a different selection each day and making every breakfast something to look forward to. Ibrahim and Tilak were equally remarkable, always attentive, courteous, and eager to help, making our stay even more memorable.
