A Warm & Memorable Stay at Renaissance Lucknow.. I recently stayed at Renaissance Lucknow as a solo traveller, and overall it was a very pleasant experience marked by exceptionally warm and attentive staff. Check-in & Room Check-in was smooth and hospitable — Miss Swati handled the process wonderfully. Thanks to my Marriott Titanium Elite status, I was upgraded to a Junior Suite, which was perfectly suited for a solo traveller. The welcome drink was a refreshing touch, especially given how hot Lucknow gets. Dining I dined at Zaffran, L14, and the Sky Bar during my stay. The Galawati kebab and biryani at Zaffran were absolute standouts — full of authentic Lucknowi flavor. Executive Chef Mukesh Kumar and Chef Suraj were incredibly attentive throughout my stay, going out of their way to take care of my taste preferences. Nitish at the lounge was generous with his time and service during lounge hours. A special mention to the ever smiling Miss Madhu and Miss Rubaida at the L14 breakfast — their warm smiles and attentive service made mornings a delight. Both truly deserve a thumbs up. Bar The Sky Bar has a lovely view, but the air conditioning needs attention — it was warm enough that I chose not to linger there, which was a bit of a missed opportunity given the setting. Lounge Hours The lounge at the 3rd floor Zaffran restaurant needs a bit of improvements as far as ambience is concerned. I had raised a issue about the classical music that was being played during lounge hours which was addressed immediately. Guest Services There wasn't a dedicated concierge, but reception staff Neha and Swati went above and beyond, helping me tour Lucknow and shop for traditional Lucknowi items — a lovely, personal touch I didn't expect. Lobby & Ambience The lobby is elegant and well-designed, though it could benefit from some greenery — a few planted pots would help. The hotel's exterior is beautifully green, so the transition from outside to inside currently feels a little abrupt. Even the lift lobbies and rooms require some green potted plants that can add value to a customer's experience. Value & Location Excellent value for the price. The hotel is about 8-10 km from the main city areas, but taxis make getting around easy and convenient. My Final Note I shared my feedback (particularly on the Sky Bar AC and lobby greenery) with Front Office Manager Akansh Singh, who was attentive and assured me these points would be addressed. That kind of responsiveness speaks well of the Renaissance hotel's culture. Overall, a wonderful stay elevated by a genuinely caring team — special thanks to Swati, Neha, Chef Suraj, Chef Mukesh Kumar, Nitish, Madhu, Rubaida, and Akansh for making it memorable. Highly recommend, especially for solo travellers and family.
