Our experience at the Taj Rishikesh was divine,beautiful and surreal. From friendly staff to exceptional service - the Taj Rishikesh exuded professionalism, class and pristine service. Thank you to the staff for being so welcoming, assisting us with every concern and query with ease and professionalism as well as for assisting and performing our dad's tarrpan puja. We left feeling fulfilled and spiritually aligned to the purpose of our trip.

On our recent trip to Rishikesh we decided to stay at Taj Rishikesh , from various options available to us and we are happy that we decided to stay here. The reservation team reached out to us before our travel to understand our requirements. Since my mother was traveling with us ,we had requested for wheelchair assistance during or stay. Also, we understood the activities possible at the resort, which helped us plan our stay better. We reached Dehradun airport from Mumbai & started for Taj Rishikesh . It is approx 35 Km from the Airport and took us approx 1hour 30 mins . As we reached the reception of the resort we were warmly welcomed by Ms. Jyoti & Tanmay ,who helped us with the check-in formalities. We were served Boransh Tea ( a vibrant, ruby-red herbal infusion made from dried flowers, harvested from the Himalayan foothills) . Resort Pandits welcomed us with a small ritual. We were then escorted to our room , Grand Luxury Ganges View Room , with a 180 degree view of the flowing Ganges, with Balcony sit out. The room was comfortable with nice amenities. A Wheelchair was made available for my Mother from the reception till the time we checked out and someone was always available to take her around. I tried the resort spa and the resort as an exceptional spa set up. The therapist Devika is exceptional. Once we settled in ,we studied various in house Daily activities ( Photo of the same attached) . We attended their Pahadi Hi-Ta Session ( from 16:15 hrs to 17:00hrs) . It is a nice setting overlooking the Ganges, Live Pahadi Music performance , Hi-Tea , Local Ladies offering local fruit/Veg produce with local spices sprinkled. It was a very nice experience . We then proceeded to the private beach on the banks of Ganges for the evening `Ganga Aarti' . Guests are taken there in Golf carts or one can reach there by a nice walk. Evening aarti's are performed between ( 17:30 hrs to 18:00 hrs) . Time varies depending on the season , so you should check the daily timings. It was a surreal experience of private ganga aarti . You can also soak your feet in the Ganges. We did that , water was chilled and fresh . We thoroughly enjoyed this experience , which was well managed by the resort staff. After Ganga Aarti we went back and stopped at `Panchvati ' Tree within the resort premises , where `Diya Lighting Ceremony ' is conducted after 18:15 hrs. Local ladies , nicely dresses sings local songs and helps you light diyas around the Panchvati tree and then around various parts of the resort. It's a beautiful atmosphere when diyas are lit and place across the resort. We relaxed a bit after this. At around 20:00 hrs we headed to the `Riverside' Restaurant for Dinner. `Riverside' is an in-house specialty restaurant ,overlooking the Ganges and offers a mix of Pahadi Cuisine. We were greeted and looked after by server Ayan Ahmed , who helped us select the must try local dishes. Shortly after , Mr. Ashish Tomar ( Restaurants In Charge) came to our table and helped us with a few more items and made us try those. His recommendations were on the spot . The interactions, courtesy of the restaurant staff was exceptional. Next day morning we had lovely breakfast and then proceeded for check out . On check out also, there is a small ritual performed by the Resort Pandits . I must mention Jitender Singh & Bhupender Singh from Security , who helped my mother a lot and were always ready to help. There are many staff members whose names I have failed to mention , but kindly know that the staff at Taj Rishikesh is exceptional ad courteous. As we checked out the resort , we collected lovely memories with us. Keep up the good work!!!

Seamless Check-In & Rituals: The check-in process was incredibly smooth and hassle-free. The welcome rituals during check-in, along with the thoughtful checkout rituals, were a lovely touch and truly enhanced the overall experience. The Property: The property is exceptionally well-maintained — from the outdoors and lobby areas to the restaurants and kitchen, everything is spotless and beautifully presented. Room Experience: We stayed in a Premium King Villa with a partial Ganges view. While the room was fully equipped with all essential amenities for a comfortable stay, the Ganges view was not very clear. Honestly, it doesn’t make much difference whether you choose a Ganges view or a garden view room. That said, the property offers direct access to the Ganges, which is extremely convenient — especially for attending the evening Ganga Aarti (a must-experience) or simply spending peaceful time by the river. Also, do visit the Shiva temple across the river — it adds a special spiritual touch to the stay. Comfort & Cleanliness: The rooms are beautifully designed, clean, and thoughtfully equipped, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing experience. Location: The resort is approximately 40 minutes from Aloha on the Ganges, and the road connectivity is good and smooth. Stay Duration: A 2–3 night stay is ideal to fully enjoy both the property and the surrounding area. EV Charging: A big plus — they have a Tata EV charging station available in the basement. Dining Experience: Breakfast: Excellent spread with a variety of local delicacies — definitely worth trying. High Tea: Good selection with fresh fruits, tea, and coffee. It would be great if sandwiches were added, especially for kids. Restaurants: The food is excellent. Highly recommended, especially their local dishes. Staff & Service: The staff is extremely courteous, attentive, and responsive. They truly understand hospitality and know how to make guests feel valued. A special mention to Ashish, the restaurant manager, who was outstanding. Suggestion: One small suggestion — the tea served at the live counter during breakfast and high tea could be improved, as it lacked flavor. Final Thoughts: A big thank you to the entire team at Taj Rishikesh for making our stay so pleasant and for being so responsive whenever we needed assistance. We left with full hearts and can’t wait to come back!

We had a wonderful stay at Taj Rishikesh Resort & Spa. This trip was especially meaningful as we celebrated our mother’s birthday by the Ganges and the team truly made it memorable. The cake was delicious, the décor was beautifully done and the entire celebration was perfectly arranged, everything felt thoughtful and on point. The property itself is serene and adds to the overall experience, making it a perfect place for a special occasion. That said, there were a couple of service gaps. At reception, we were told we would be shown another room, but that never happened. Additionally, we had to wait nearly two hours for a cold coffee, which was disappointing and not in line with the otherwise high standards. Overall, it was a great experience with a few areas that could be improved. Nonetheless, we truly appreciated the effort put into making the birthday celebration so special and we can’t wait to visit again.
