Here is your fully edited document with the location section smoothly integrated into the “Around the Resort” section so it reads naturally and keeps the flow consistent: An unforgettable stay – Ayodya Palace is worth every penny Our family of four (my mum, 82-year-old grandma, my brother and I) stayed in the Ayodya Palace in May on the all-inclusive package, and without hesitation, upgrading to the Palace was one of the best decisions we made. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were somewhere special. After a long journey, we were welcomed with a beautiful Balinese greeting ceremony and a refreshing welcome drink. It was such a thoughtful introduction to the hotel and immediately set the tone for what became one of our favourite holidays. The Palace Experience The Palace truly makes the experience. The quieter atmosphere, attentive service and little luxuries throughout the day made it feel like a boutique hotel within the larger resort. The Palace pool was peaceful and relaxing, with comfortable loungers and attentive staff who regularly checked in throughout the day. We also loved having access to the quieter section of the beach, where it was easy to unwind with a book or simply enjoy the beautiful surroundings. One thing we particularly appreciated was the atmosphere created by other Palace guests. Unlike many resorts where sunbeds are “reserved” all day, people were genuinely considerate and removed their towels when heading off elsewhere, making it much fairer for everyone. Drinks and snacks were available throughout the day, and the hand buzzers between the pool loungers meant you never had to search for someone if you needed anything. Afternoon tea was a lovely touch with delicious sandwiches, cakes and sweet treats. A special mention to Budana who kept my expensive headphones in the Palace lost and found when I accidentally left them poolside. Super grateful he kept them safely for me! Breakfast each morning was another highlight. Niri and the Palace team somehow remembered our drinks orders almost immediately every day, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. The made-to-order breakfasts were exceptional—the pancakes, smoothie bowls, avocado sourdough with perfectly poached eggs, and fresh pastries were all fantastic. The only slight downside was that when we ordered dinner to the Palace one evening, service was slower than expected and, understandably, the atmosphere felt much quieter than the main restaurants. For breakfast and daytime relaxation, however, the Palace was simply outstanding. Rooms We stayed in two adjoining Palace rooms, which worked perfectly for our family, allowing us to move easily between them while still having our own space. Although the hotel is older and the rooms are perhaps more traditional than some newer luxury resorts, we genuinely loved the authentic Balinese design. Rather than feeling outdated, we felt it gave the hotel character and charm that’s often missing from modern developments. The beds were enormous and incredibly comfortable. Every day the minibar was replenished, and the staff kindly remembered our request not to stock alcoholic drinks. One of our favourite touches was returning each afternoon to fresh fruit and a different selection of homemade cookies waiting in the room. There was plenty of wardrobe and storage space, the balcony had comfortable seating, and from ours we could even enjoy parts of the evening performances taking place in the nearby theatre. The complimentary laundry service (four items per room each day) was another thoughtful benefit that proved incredibly useful during our stay. Whenever we needed anything, housekeeping responded quickly and happily. There were only a few small areas for improvement. The room lighting could be brighter, and a couple of the plug sockets were loose, meaning chargers didn’t always stay securely in place. We also stayed while renovation works were taking place nearby, so construction noise started relatively early each morning, making a lie-in a little difficult. Food & Restaurants As vegetarians travelling with our grandma, who needs meals at regular times because of medication, the all-inclusive package was excellent value and gave us complete flexibility throughout the day. Although we didn’t manage to try the buffet, we absolutely loved dining at Ganesha, along with the Beach Grill and Vegan Deli. Ganesha quickly became our favourite restaurant. The vegetarian selection was excellent, and we particularly appreciated finding authentic masala tea alongside a wonderful range of Indian and Indonesian dishes. Service here was consistently outstanding. The team remembered our favourite meals, drinks and little preferences before we’d even ordered. Food arrived quickly, every request was met with genuine enthusiasm, and every meal felt personal. The Vegan Deli was another fantastic addition. As vegetarians, we really appreciated having somewhere dedicated to plant-based food. We particularly enjoyed the Mexican wrap, almond cookie and several of the cakes. The only drawback was the waiting time—on a few occasions it took between 45 minutes and an hour for relatively small orders. We also thoroughly enjoyed stopping at the coffee shop for excellent coffees, delicious hot chocolate and cakes throughout the day. And of course, the unlimited Häagen-Dazs was a wonderful bonus—we definitely made the most of our evening gelato! Around the Resort & Location Ayodya is a beautiful resort. Although it’s one of the older hotels in Nusa Dua, we actually think that’s one of its greatest strengths. The magnificent entrance, impressive water features, traditional Balinese architecture and statues create a sense of grandeur that’s difficult to replicate. As Hindus, it was especially meaningful to stay somewhere named after Ayodhya, the legendary kingdom of Lord Rama, and it gave the hotel an added sense of cultural significance for us. The location is also excellent. The hotel is within easy reach of the Bali Collection shopping area, as well as nearby shops and massage parlours. The massages in particular were incredible value—90-minute full body treatments that left us feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. The complimentary bicycles were a lovely surprise and gave us the opportunity to cycle along the beachfront and explore some of the neighbouring resorts. The hotel also offers a wide variety of activities, from giant chess and Jenga to billiards and pool tables. We only wish more of the organised activities, such as volleyball, had actually been running during our stay, and it wasn’t always obvious who was part of the entertainment team. One disappointment was the advertised complimentary cycling tour. After arriving for the activity, we were informed there would actually be a charge, despite it being listed as complimentary on the activity programme. Unfortunately, the staff handling this were rather dismissive, and after several guests experienced the same confusion, we raised it with the hotel management. The beach itself is beautiful, although during our visit the sea was fairly rough and there was unfortunately some floating debris and pollution washing ashore, which we appreciate is largely outside the hotel’s control and may simply have been due to the season. The resort is large but easy to navigate, and we’d particularly like to thank the hotel for kindly lending us a wheelchair for our grandma throughout our stay. With such expansive grounds, this made a huge difference and allowed her to comfortably enjoy every part of the resort. Accessibility overall was very good, with plenty of step-free routes. The gym was well equipped with a good variety of machines and weights, although it was simply too small for a resort of this size. During peak times it became quite crowded, and we often had to wait for equipment. The People Make Ayodya Special Beautiful hotels can be found all over Bali, but what made Ayodya unforgettable was its people. By the end of our stay, so many members of staff knew us by name, remembered our favourite drinks, asked about our day and genuinely made us feel like valued guests rather than simply another room number. Every one of you made our stay feel warm, personal and memorable. Ganesha Restaurant A very special thank you to Edy, who is an absolute credit to Ayodya. His professionalism, kindness and genuine care for guests stood out from our very first meal. He remembered our favourite dishes, our drinks and all of our little preferences, and always made us feel incredibly welcome. Thank you also to Intan, Bagus, Wira and Bayu, whose warmth and hospitality made every visit to Ganesha such a pleasure. Beach Grill Thank you to Satya and Tia (Listia) for your wonderful service and friendly smiles throughout our stay. Final Thoughts No hotel is perfect, and there are a few areas where Ayodya could improve. However, those minor issues are completely overshadowed by the warmth of the people, the beautiful Balinese character of the resort, the excellent dining, and the wonderful Palace experience. If you’re considering staying in Nusa Dua, I cannot recommend the Ayodya Palace highly enough. For us, it transformed a fantastic holiday into a truly unforgettable one, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

“Young family with 2 rooms”

Lovely people and a great place to stay. We travelled with three young g girls and requested interconnected rooms. The rooms smelt damp and was separated by a corridor, so complained and were upgraded to the Palace. Very happy with everything.

There were positives and negatives to this stay. The staff are very friendly as you would expect with Balinese and some of the restaurants served amazing food and although we had an all-inclusive deal, the prices I could see seemed very reasonable. The staff are very friendly as you would expect with Balinese and some of the restaurants served amazing food and although we had an all-inclusive deal, the prices I could see seemed very reasonable. Being beachfront is nice and it is a short walk into the shops or Bali collection. The resort seems dated and old, our hot water did not work for a few days. They came and fixed it and then the next day it did not work again and the ceiling leaked water which is not what you expect from a five-star resort. I'm not sure paying for the palace upgrade was worth it but one day we tried the general restaurant for breakfast and that was absolutely chaos, so the Palace having their own private restaurant was wonderful. The resort is massive, with lots of places to eat it just feels a bit run down.
