My husband and I stayed at the Element by Marriott in Bali Ubud for 12 nights in July 2026. Our first impression upon booking the hotel change at the last minute was very good. The concierge reached out to us very quickly and we booked our transport from the Denpasar International Airport fairly quickly and effortlessly. The hotel had a free shuttle to go to downtown Ubud where the Monkey Forest is and the local art market. Many places were located in very close proximity to downtown Ubud. Most of the staff at Element by Marriott in Ubud were very helpful and friendly. One of our shuttle drivers Chaya was especially friendly and helpful. My husband is a gout sufferer and had a gout attack within a few days of arriving in Ubud. At first we thought it was the sugar that was causing the flare up. But even when reducing the sugar intake, it didn’t help. After some research, my husband discovered that the palm oil used in almost all the cooking is not good for a gout sufferer. Most of the restaurant staff was very helpful and very accommodating when preparing the food for him without palm oil. The food and beverage staff that was exceptionally helpful were: Resti, Dewi and Bhima. There was only one staff (Satria) that was not helpful and in fact quite rude and dismissive to both my husband and I when we ordered room service because of his medical issue. For the most part during our stay there, Fairuz, the Front Office Manager was very helpful and accommodating. We also had a pleasant experience with one of the front desk staff, Windi. We had a great room which made our stay very pleasant. It was on the 6th floor and had a great jungle like view. The toiletries smelled like lemongrass which is a very pleasant smell. For the sake of transparency, the room that we stayed at was facing the private property that had roosters that help give you get an early start to the day. Both my husband and I are morning people and were not bothered by the roosters. The view was fantastic and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony. The hotel also had really good A/C that was helpful on those really hot days. The restaurant had a lot of variety of food to choose from that was very delicious. My favorite was the guava juice and watermelon juice that was available for breakfast. There were many delicious foods on a daily basis. I also liked the Korean chicken and BBQ chicken. When Resti and Dewi found out that my husband couldn’t have food cooked in palm oil, they personally made sure to prepare a selection of food for my husband to choose from. They made him turmeric juice without sugar fresh on a daily basis and avocado toast that was not part of the daily breakfast available. When Bhima found out about my husband’s condition, he prepared a homemade recipe he made for his mother to help with my husband’s gout issue. That was greatly appreciated. This personal touch made a huge difference. The Element by Marriott in Ubud feels like a home away from home where everyone is welcome and they do their best to accommodate our needs. The other thing that we really liked about the Element by Marriott is that they provide 4 bottles of water in the room and they had filtered water in the lobby that you can refill the water bottle as the tap water in Bali is not for consumption. They also have fruit infused water and coffee by the reception in the afternoon. The staff at Element by Marriott was very caring and receptive. They were always smiling and willing to help. I stayed over 100 nights a year in hotels and i have to say that the service and care the team rendered in Element Bali is one of the best i had experienced and it is even better than some of the top 5 stars hotels i had stayed before. Everyone greets you and they even remembered my room number and name which is very rare as it is my first time there. Was there for a friendly football tournament and on the last night my friend was injured and had trouble walking, the receptionist( forget the name but i think it was Cintya) saw it and offered help and wheelchair assistance, They even called up multiple times to check on my friend to the point of getting in touch with the next hotel which he is transferring to and get them to watch for him. This is top notch service and would really recommend this hotel to anyone who is after real and genuine service!

I stayed at this hotel because a friend recommended it to me. It was a wonderful place—quiet, with a delicious breakfast, and conveniently located close to the town center. What made my stay truly unforgettable, however, was Linda from the rooftop bar. She was incredibly kind and generous. On her day off, she even took us special place, allowing us to experience things that we never could have enjoyed on an ordinary trip. I can’t express how grateful I am for her kindness. She made me fall in love with the people of Bali, and thanks to Linda, I also fell in love with Ubud. Of course, the hotel’s facilities are excellent, but what makes a hotel truly special is its people. “A lovely few days”

A very good hotel. Not a fancy hotel but a very good hotel. Friendly and clean. We used this place as a base as we explored the island. Not central but we walked to some great restaurants from here as well as eating here. Breakfast was lovely. Staff friendly… ask for a room away from the noisy coc… more
