We booked direct with YTL to stay at Spa Village for the 6th time for 10 nights, we haven't been for a little while as moved house, COVID and then my mother was very ill and died at the beginning of this year. So I knew exactly where I wanted to go to not only celebrate a birthday, wedding anniversary but also to heal from my bereavement as another family member died a few months ago. We arrived last Saturday and were greeted by the dear staff who all remembered us and said 'welcome home'. I felt at peace straight away and couldn't wait for the next 10days. To our horror on the Monday afternoon the management were given the task of handing out letters saying the hotel was closing with immediate effect and we had two hours to pack. We were all in shock and asked where they were putting us , all we were told it was a two hour journey south. When we got to the hotel is was right on the main drag into Denpasar, rooms very musty, our shower didn't work and the staff at the hotel couldn't understand why we were all so upset. One of our group hunted down Wayne Lee and spoke on our behalf to say that we were very upset about the hotel and the way we had just been dumped. Five of us had booked direct with YTL and were at the start of our holiday so they moved us to another hotel 40/50 mins away. It's ok but nota patch on Spa village, rooms much smaller, you can hear cars, lorries trundling past and horns beeping, the pool is ok but you look out onto an ocean of boats, the sea is very very rough so you can't snorkel or walk along the beach plus it's a family hotel whereas Spa Village was adults only, in a very quiet spot, infinity pool etc Don't get me wrong I have children and grandchildren and was a teacher but I don't take kindly by being splashed by noisy children and hit whilst swimming with a rugby ball. YTL have a lot of explaining to do. I do hope that someone snap us this wonderful, healing hotel as it is a true gem. We met and chatted to a lot of couples in the short time we were there this time and everyone said they would be booking again so I have no idea whyYTL made their decision.

“Relaxing place with great staff, beautiful infinity pool and manicured gardens”

This is such a beautiful resort. Yes, it is isolated but that was what I wanted after waiting a year for a holiday with my partner. This is such a beautiful resort. Yes, it is isolated but that was what I wanted after waiting a year for a holiday with my partner. I spent 7 blissfully relaxing days/nights here with a wonderful massage included every day at our choice of time. The weather was perfect with not a drop of rain. The rooms are large and well appointed (no TV ok for me) with your own personal balcony. The infinity pool was amazing and where we spent much of our time. There are also 4 Bali Huts to relax in beside the pool. You can have drinks/snacks delivered to the pool area for a small extra cost. The food was delicious with a gorgeous view of the Bali Sea. The staff were so wonderful to us, and kind, attending to us with such care and with smiles and happy welcomes. There was a little shop across the road with Bintang and a few snacks which was convenient. We adventured to Ubud for a day trip and an interesting scenic drive up the mountain behind Tembok on the way including the Coffee Plantation. We also went to Amed to snorkel which is about an hour away. We intend to revisit this resort, hopefully next year.

We had an amazing Luxury Escapes getaway for five nights and cannot fault anything at Spa Village Tembok. While it’s a long trip to Tembok our driver ensured our transfer was as comfortable as possible. Every, and I mean every, staff member at Spa Village delivered an amazing service, from always greeting us by name, arranging our itinerary, refilling our water, ensuring our stay was as amazing as possible. The included spa treatments were incredible, daily yoga was wonderful, the food options were fab and the infinity pool and availability of pool beds was all we could ask for. This is the place to come if you want pure relaxation, escape the hustle bustle, excellent service and an indulgent but affordable getaway. Highly recommend.

A lovely relaxing mini break, everything is inclusive transfers from the airport ( be mindful it’s a 3 hour drive) meals, a cocktail daily, yoga, and 50 min massage. Beautiful location right on the beach - it’s a small hotel that has friendly staff, ever helpful. Its remote location away from shops and bars and restaurants made it for me more appealing as I wanted to slow down and relax.
