By my count, this was our 15th dive vacation to Tauch Terminal Resort (TT), located in the small village of Tulamben (approximately 3 hour drive from Denpasar airport). This superbly maintained resort is a blend of new and traditional Bali. Every time we visit, there's an improvement to the resort - from creating a new lounge area adjacent to the bar, a new ice bath, improvements to the dive centre and the restaurant, to room changes. The resort landscape and layout is tranquil and beautiful, and the staff are exceptionally kind and helpful. In particular, I would recommend that if you wish to stay, book directly with the resort as they will assist with transfers and dive packages. We stayed for over 2 weeks in Deluxe Room #3 on the ground floor. It's a spacious room for 2-3 people with a lot of scuba equipment and plenty of outlets for charging batteries. The terrace is huge, and directly overlooks the Bali pool and ocean. The room is well appointed, with reliable airconditioning and very good housekeeping services (including laundry). Diving: We travel for the diving, and we completed our pre-booked package of 40 dives each plus a few extras including a few night dives (amazing). The dive operation is staffed by guides and technical offices who ensure that your tanks are always filled at a minimum 200 bar, the Nitrox is consistently 31-33%, and your gear is assembled at the beginning of the day and cleaned at the end of each day. Dive guides are enthusiastic, helpful, and will offer to assist you with cameras or if you need help into the water. Those guides can find the smallest hairy shrimp with eggs, the most beautiful Cyerce Elegens nudibranch, Spanish Dancers on night dives, wonderpus and mimic octopus, boxer crabs,..... the list goes on. Our dives were easy to schedule, and we were able to dive a wide range of dive sites from wreck, reef, macro, muck. Boat dives, and dive excursions to see manta rays and Mola Mola are available depending on the season. For non divers, there's gorgeous snorkelling right in front of the resort (hundreds of clownfish, underwater statues, corals, and the shipwreck), plus relaxing at the swimming pools and day spa onsite. Restaurant: if you love food, the Bamboo Restaurant at the resort has a range of delicious food. Try to book your stay to coincide with Bali night (traditional local foods and the spectacular Bali dancers) or the Beach BBQ. Breakfast was huge (we ate the Bamboo Sunrise breakfast EVERY DAY). Excursions: We did the waterfall tour - a huge waterfall next to an area for ceremonies. Take swimwear, and walk under the waterfall itself as it feels like something out of Jurassic Park! Great value tour. Tulamben township: there's a supermarket with cash machine (ATM) at Indomart (10 minute walk from resort), cafes and restaurants nearby. The resort can arrange day trips to Amed, Singaraja, Permuteran, Ubud, and other areas if you wish. Overall, if you love diving and underwater photography, Tauch Terminal Tulamben is an excellent resort.

“Fabulous vacation 😍”

I love this resort. Their house reef is the beautiful wreck of the liberty, a 3 min walk down the beach! So if you go in the morning you can finish your dive before the divers from the other resorts arrive. Then you can have a hot shower and enjoy one of their delicious breakfasts. I love this resort. Their house reef is the beautiful wreck of the liberty, a 3 min walk down the beach! So if you go in the morning you can finish your dive before the divers from the other resorts arrive. Then you can have a hot shower and enjoy one of their delicious breakfasts. There is good WiFi now in all of the rooms and free drinking water to fill in the complimentary metal bottle they provide you with. Rooms are pretty, with aircon and fridge. Only downside for me is that it is a bit remote, meaning a longer drive to visit Ubud etc. But there are some shops and restaurants close by to try local food and to buy fruits or basics.

“Fantastic 💖”

We were again this year stayed for 6 nights, every staff are friendly and remember us which is good like family. The room is good as we were last year my wife spent most of the time for scuba diving (actually she comes for this 💖). We very much enjoyed at the resort so, we come again next year 🛫… more

“Rest, relaxation, & diving!”

Had a wonderful stay at Tauch Terminal Tulamben! It was a last minute decision to squeeze some diving in and I'm so glad I found this resort. Had a wonderful stay at Tauch Terminal Tulamben! It was a last minute decision to squeeze some diving in and I'm so glad I found this resort. I only stayed one night but did two dives including a night dive at Liberty Wreck which I highly recommend! Hotel rooms were great - I recommend the deluxe room with balcony/ terrace on 1st floor because you get a beautiful sea view and lovely seating area to sit and view the ocean. Food/drink - all good mix of Indonesian and western food, lots of thing to choose from including their breakfast list in the morning. They have a nice bar by the pool that is open all day for drinks and ice cream! The diving center is great equipment is well looked after and the team are professional and really kind! My first dive was basically a private dive and my guide who also led the night dive was awesome made me feel really comfortable and safe. The diving is literally right off the hotel so you just get ready and off you go! They do further trips to all the usual dive spots of course but I picked this place also for the ability to arrive and dive pretty much as soon as I checked-in as they have 4 dives a day that you can join. It's a great place to dive, relax and unwind - things get quiet around 10pm but after a day of diving it's just what you need!
