This property absolutely meets the high bar you expect when it comes to Four Seasons polish. The overall vibe of the resort skews towards subtle, quiet refinement rather than over-the-top, flashy luxury, which creates a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. The standout feature of this property is undoubtedly the staff. They are extremely well-trained and go out of their way to ensure every single guest is treated like a celebrity. We were particularly grateful for how accommodating the team was, going so far as to give us a ride over to the Raffles next door (which, as a side note to other travelers, looks like a fantastic property if you are traveling strictly as a couple). In terms of the grounds and accommodations, the property is a little bit older and could probably benefit from a renovation to bring it completely up to date. However, even with the slightly dated elements, you are absolutely going to get your money's worth here through the sheer quality of the hospitality and the serene environment. There was truly nothing we could complain about during our stay. That being said, if the resort were to add a bit more variety to their on-site restaurants and food options, it would easily push this property from a solid "meets expectations" into the "exceeds expectations" category. A fantastic stay overall.

The Four Seasons at Jimbaran Bay is hands down our favorite hotel on Bali. Everything about it is spectacular, but especially the people. Their warmth is authentic and their interpersonal skills top notch. Martini, Atik, Edi, and all the others go out of their way to wow us, and wow us they always do. They make it nearly impossible for any others to compete. From the extremely comfortable villas, each with a perfect private pool, to the dining options (Sundara and Jala are each amazing in their own ways), this paradise is like stepping into a Balinese village with high end luxury and the best service I’ve ever had anywhere in the world. They really do ruin it for the rest. They not only respond to your needs, they anticipate your needs. The question is never “Will we stay at Jimbaran?” but rather “How long can we afford do stay at Jimbaran!” When we arrived to that delicious welcome tea, everyone said “Welcome home” and indeed that’s what it feels like. Thank you, Four Seasons Jimbaran Bay, for being our Bali home. Until we meet again.

WOW. This resort completely exceeded every expectation I had prior to visiting Bali. We actually started our vacation at another large luxury resort before arriving here, and from the moment we drove through the gates of Four Seasons Jimbaran Bay, it was obvious we had entered an entirely different level of hospitality. It was noticeably on another level and more in line of what I would expect of a 5 star resort. The drive through the meticulously landscaped tropical grounds was breathtaking. I honestly don’t know how they keep every flower, tree, pathway, and blade of grass looking so perfect. We pulled into a beautiful, intimate arrival area where we were immediately greeted by name, offered welcome drinks, and invited to relax while the concierge helped secure a few reservations for us. Everyone was genuinely warm and welcoming. Our luggage was loaded onto the golf cart with us, so we didn’t have to wait for it to be delivered later. We were driven directly to our villa together, making the arrival feel seamless. Waiting for us were a fresh coconut, handcrafted chocolates, fresh fruit, and several delicious local treats. My 12-year-old son was so amazed by the villa that he immediately started filming his own room tour. We stayed in Garden Villa 255, and I would happily request it again. Before arriving, I wondered if the resort might feel dated based on some reviews, but that couldn’t have been further from the truth. The Balinese architecture is timeless, elegant, and full of character. Walking through the large wooden doors into our villa felt like entering a private tropical garden. The fountains, lush landscaping, private pool, outdoor shower, soaring ceilings, and beautiful elevated roof created one of the most peaceful places I’ve ever stayed. White flowers drifted gently from the trees into the pool throughout the day, almost as though nature itself had been choreographed. Every inch of the grounds was immaculate. The location of Villa 255 was perfect. It was private and tranquil, yet only a short walk to breakfast, the boutique, the lobby, and the spa. We never felt isolated, but we always felt like we had our own secluded retreat. The villa itself was exceptionally comfortable. The beds were wonderful, the shower had excellent water pressure with consistently hot water, and despite being surrounded by tropical gardens, we never had any issues with bugs. Every evening felt like coming home to our own peaceful sanctuary. What truly sets this resort apart is the service. Every employee seemed to know our names. We never had to search for assistance because someone was always nearby asking if we needed anything. Whether it was a golf cart, a restaurant recommendation, or simply another bottle of water, every interaction felt genuine. They anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. Breakfast each morning at Taman Wantilan was outstanding. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the coffee was excellent, and the pastries were some of the best we had during our trip. Sitting outside overlooking the ponds and ocean each morning was the perfect way to start the day. We also enjoyed afternoon tea at Taman Wantilan, which was beautifully presented and deliciously prepared. We visited the Sundara Beach Club restaurant twice. The setting is gorgeous, especially in the evening with the gorgeous sunsets. There was a live band in the evenings on the patio. They have elevated seating that overlooks the beach, making it a beautiful place to unwind while my son played in the sand below during the day. Service was outstanding every time we visited for either occasion, and although Sundara also operates as a beach club open to outside guests, it never felt overcrowded during our stay. While I would have enjoyed a slightly more adventurous menu, I appreciated that they also offered familiar options like burgers and pizza, making it easy for my 12-year-old son to find something he enjoyed. We didn’t try the indoor menu which was several courses. We also had dinner at Taman Wantilan. The food was good, but breakfast remained my favorite meal there. If I had one small critique of an otherwise exceptional stay, it would be that I personally preferred the dinner offerings at Four Seasons Sayan. That said, the food at Jimbaran Bay was still very good, and the outstanding service and beautiful settings made every meal enjoyable. The boutique had a nice selection of unique souvenirs, and everyone working there was just as friendly as the rest of the staff. I also appreciated the reusable linen Four Seasons shopping bag that came with our purchases. The spa deserves special recognition. I’ve visited many Four Seasons spas over the years, but this was the most incredible spa experience I’ve ever had. The treatment rooms felt like private spa villas with outdoor showers, soaking tubs, and beautiful garden spaces. My treatment began with a warm copper bowl filled with flowers, fruit, herbs, and water for a relaxing foot ritual. Every detail felt luxurious and thoughtfully designed. It wasn’t just a massage, it was an unforgettable experience. We also tried the floating breakfast in our private pool. It’s definitely worth doing once. The presentation was beautiful, the food was fresh and delicious, and it made for wonderful photos. We eventually moved the meal inside to avoid the very patient birds and also because it’s harder to eat while floating than it looks, but it was still a fun experience. What impressed me most wasn’t simply how beautiful the resort was. It was how peaceful it felt. Birds sang throughout the day, fountains gently flowed, and every tropical garden, pathway, and common area looked perfectly maintained. The entire property radiated tranquility. It was like something out of a luxury travel magazine. Most importantly, this resort made us feel something magical. I came to Bali looking for a reset, to experience the Eat, Pray, Love feeling everyone talks about and I truly found it here. This resort became much more than just a beautiful place to stay. It became part of the reason Bali felt so special. When it was time to leave, neither my son nor I wanted to go. We both agreed this was one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever stayed, and without question, it ranks among my top hotel experiences anywhere in the world. We’ll absolutely be back, and next time we’ll stay much longer. Four Seasons Jimbaran Bay didn’t just meet my expectations, it completely changed them.

We had lovely surprises waiting for us on our anniversary. Loved every minute there.
