After spending 2 nights in Ubud, we decided to move place closer to the airport and near the beach front area and upon looking at Agoda we found Grand Kuta Bali Hotel & Residences perfect for families or group of 4 people with kids. At just 343 SGD for 2 nights for 2 Quadruple executives rooms nothing could get better than this what a great deal it is!!! We didn’t opt for breakfast though but they offer buffet and the surroundings have convenience stores and dining/cafe like Starbucks/Mcdo/Burger king to name a few. Going from Ubud to Legian after lunch is not the best idea for us but we learned our lessons, traffic is 2 hrs and is not moving at sometimes. The hotel is located right at the main intersection so we were stucked here for almost 30 mins and their driveway is on the opposite side from where we came from as well. Nevertheless, our Grab driver was very patient and we made it just after 4 PM. Check-in was smooth and easy but they require 100K IDR room deposit per night and since we booked 2 rooms for 2 night we paid in cash 400K IDR. They only accept cash for room deposits so be prepared. The lobby is huge and spacious and I loved their open air concept as well. The staff assisted us into our 2 rooms but sadly their not on the same floor because their fully booked. Nevertheless, we do have views of their massive pools and their center courtyard/garden. The Quadruple rooms lives up to their expectations - their like big Condominium units with 3 rooms and 2 baths, a living room, dining area, huge kitchenette and a Balcony. The rooms are 70 sqm and on non-smoking located at the 3F. Upon entering, you will see a Brown wooden round table with 4 Yellow cushioned chairs, across the table is the living room with a brown sofa, coffee table and flat screen TV with lots of cable/local channels. There is an under TV table with compartments. They have blackout Beige curtains on a sliding door window separating the balcony. At the further end is the balcony with the view of the pool but they didn’t have any coffee table/seating outside. Beside the dining table to your left is the huge Ref and mini-kitchenette with lots of cabinets/compartments. They don’t provide utensils and kitchen ware nor a microwave over but they have Water Kettle/Coffee/Tea/Mugs and Complimentary bottled waters provided. Next to the Kitchenette are the 2 common rooms with single beds, wardrobe and study table. No TV on these rooms but they do have airconditioning. I also loved that they provide reusable slippers on each rooms. Across the common room is the common toilet with bidet which we really love. Complimenting the overall Orche, Beige, Earthy colours of the room is their Orche tilings which were really relaxing and comforting. For toiletries, they provide toothbrush and toothpaste and they do have full on containers for bodywash/shampoo/handwash and tissues. Towels are also clean and comfy. Then the biggest room of all - the Master bedroom with bath. Have a Queen bed with study table and side tables on each side. This room has a wall mounted flat screen TV and its toilet is the same size as the common one. Water pressure is strong and heating is perfect on both toilets. The Master room has a luggage rack and a bigger wardrobe. The chairs and sofa are clean and comfy as well as the bed, pillows and blankets all clean, smooth and comfy. The other facility we tried is 2 of their 3 swimming pools which were Emerald Green in colour surrounded by lounge chairs and lush tropical gardens. Pillows are provided by the hotel and thye were pretty clean and relaxing except the kiddy pool which we didn’t try. The height is 1.3m so if you have younger kids in tow its safe for them to swim here with guidance. They have toilet/shower area by the pool as well which were clean and well maintained. My nephews and I loved our swim in the pool on both days and it was pretty relaxing indeed. We didn’t avail of their in house breakfast because there are many food choices outside or via Grab delivery. Most of us are also on full day tour so most of the day their outside. Just like check-in, check-out was smooth and fast. The staff is quite helpful and accommodating but only some could speak fluent English. Our trip back to the airport is also quite fast 20 mins you’re there so we didn’t have to worry of the long roads ahead and the traffic. Suksma for a wonderful Christmas stay Grand Kuta Bali Legian, the rooms were quite amazing and relaxing indeed my nephews loved their stay!!! If you’re looking for a hotel that could accommodate a family or group of 4 or more then Grand Kuta Bali Legian is highly recommended. Suksma Grand Kuta Bali Legian!!! :=)
