Beautiful location right next to the beach. Huge and luxurious with multiple restaurants with different vibes. Friendly staff and good hospitality. Overall a fantastic stay.

Stayed 10 nights in the Agung Suite with fabulous ocean views and a perfect view of Mt Agung and able to watch the sunrise everyday from our bed. Housekeeping, Laundry and all staff were so helpful and friendly with DWI at the Cabana Restaurant so pleasant. Palace Club and Reception staff were outstanding and made our stay that memorable and relaxing we have booked the same room again next year. It was great to see Paddy and Prudence peacocks now roaming the grounds. General Manager Pierrick Gautier has done and is doing a fantastic job with this unique hotel.

We had a pleasant stay overall, and what truly stood out was the exceptional service from the Duty Manager, Mr. Sukadana. He patiently listened to our feedback, addressed our concerns with professionalism and genuine care, and was prompt in taking the necessary steps to ensure the remainder of our stay went smoothly. His attentiveness and commitment to guest satisfaction made a significant difference to our experience. We greatly appreciate his efforts and the hospitality extended by the team. We are definitely looking forward to staying at the hotel again in the future!

“Not what we expected!”

Our first time in Bali and this side of the globe. Normally do America, Africa & Europe. The first thing I noticed as we approached the hotel was the dirty drive in front of the lobby, (photo included) it’s seriously needs a good jet washing. We were welcomed by two dancers and pipe music which was a nice touch. The food is probably the best I have ever tasted, the chefs get the flavours just right. The staff are very welcoming & polite but the service is probably the worst I have experienced, literally had to wait half an hour before getting a drink and then the whole having to sign after is another frustrating wait, it’s the only hotel I’ve been to where I haven’t tipped as I felt it wasn’t deserved. I understand there are levels of board. Our board was all inclusive and the staff know because of our white wrist band, so we shouldn’t have to sign. Just ask our room number and name when we order. I found it very frustrating having to wait to sign everything single time. All inclusive to me means All inclusive that is what we paid for. Can’t have and pastries from the lobby bar, we were told we could have breakfast from the tamarind but then told we couldn’t when we get there which was embarrassing. So if your all inclusive you can’t have food ordered to your lounger and have to eat in a restaurant but you can if your not All inclusive?? What is that all about? Sometimes we just wanted to have a sandwich at our lounger. The whole system needs to be explained properly when you check in. We spent the whole two weeks not knowing what we could do. The room was spacious but the view was terrible, we were looking at trees (photo included). Not the garden view I expected. Our housekeeper was a pain, always ringing our bell early to clean the room, pushing his noisy trolley up and down the corridor. Once he would not let me into my room until I proved who I was and I was desperate for the toilet. I noticed the sheets were not changed often as there was a dirty mark on ours for nearly a week. The corridors and stairwells outside the rooms are filthy and tiles are damaged, not what I expect from a 5 star (photos included) There needs to be more activity during the day, like quizzes etc as it’s very boring and nothing to do. There is a pool with a swim up bar but it was usually full of loud obnoxious Australians who we noticed don’t get out the pool for the toilet. Talking of Australians, it’s the first time we’ve been in the company of so many and I didn’t realise how rude and impolite they mostly were. If you like to go on trips find another hotel as it is so far away from places, 2 hours there 2 hours back every trip we went on. So if it says a full day half of it will be sat in a vehicle. Evening entertainment is 3 times a week and if you’re not all inclusive then you have to pay for it. We did visit the spa for a massage which was very good and then used the pool by the spa which is adults only and is more quiet. Also twice we had a letter telling us that the power and water would be off for 4 hours during the day so you couldn’t use the toilet/wifi etc ( photo included) this is not acceptable for a 5 star hotel. There has been a lot of building work going on which is noisy during the day. We prefer adult only hotels and coming here made us realise why, every morning around 5.00am we were woken by the brat above running around. So all in all from a relaxing holiday we were looking forward to especially as my wife has been ill over the last few months it hasn’t been relaxing at all and we are now looking for another holiday. It wasn’t what we expected so won’t be returning.
