We recently returned to the Westin Resort Nusa Dua, now that they’re nearing completion of a major renovation and revitalization of one of their wings. During our previous visit in 2025, we couldn’t secure a room as around 60% of the property was still under construction. This time, we booked a king room and hoped for a Bonvoy upgrade to a suite, but that didn’t come through—so we happily settled into a standard Deluxe Room. That said, we were genuinely impressed when we stepped inside. We knew the rooms had been redesigned, but the level of thought put into the layout exceeded our expectations. The space feels noticeably larger and more functional. The sofa is generously sized—easily big enough for a teenager to sleep on—and the balcony is spacious, comfortably accommodating two to three people with sofa and a table. While the bathroom is slightly smaller than before, it’s been cleverly designed and feels far more efficient. Also the room sports more drawers to have store more stuff. Beyond the refreshed rooms, much of the experience felt warmly familiar, especially thanks to the incredible team who made our stay so enjoyable. At breakfast, ibu Sopie, ibu Ratih, ibu Artini, pak Mataram, and many others—too many to mention individually—ensured everything ran seamlessly each morning. Pak Bambang, bli Andika, and ibu Mira from the outdoor team went the extra mile to make sure our son had his bicycle ready to explore and that our reserved gazebo was perfectly prepared. The team from Ikan gek Ratna, and bli Ghadali, from the Marriott experience team, ibu Shelly, bli Agung, and ibu Dwi were as attentive as ever, and of course, ibu Ary, ibu Dea, ibu Nina, along with the entire Front Desk team, made us feel truly welcomed. it was genuinely heartwarming to reconnect with them all after some time.

The Westin at Nusa Dua is exactly what you'd expect from a 5 star hotel. It's impressive when you arrive - the concierge, the Balinese dancers and music and the cavernous (heavenly smelling) foyer. Check in was easy with a welcome drink and refreshing towel. The hotel itself is well situated, got everything you need or want to do. Beach and pool facilities are beautiful and kept clean. The food is of a high standard and varied. Staff and services are faultless. It is a very large and busy hotel yet there seems to be space for everyone. Breakfast in the restaurant is amazing (the array and quality). Despite the number of guests it flows smoothly and easily. A special shout out to Suamo who impressively remembered our names after the first morning and each morning gave us outstanding service. Something I will remember fondly. I highly recommend the Westin.
