We found Kayumanis over 5-6 years ago, and were so impressed with every aspect, that we’ve been returning twice a year ever since. We no longer even think about trying other accommodation - we just know that Kayumanis consistently exceeds expectations! This time I was having cosmetic surgery nearby at Divine Clinic, so I was very keen to recover in our “second home”. As we had our adult children join us for the first 8 days, we stayed in a 3 bedroom Villa “Ceng Ceng” - beautifully spacious, private, clean. For the last 4 days, we moved to a 2 bedroom Villa “Kajar”. It is our plan to stay in a different Villa every time. We had the “Gong” 5 star restaurant onsite, but chose to have our meals brought to the Villa. The menu caters to all tastes, food preferences and budgets - and we’re yet to try everything as it’s so extensive. We were collected from the airport by the Head Butler Ngurah, whose warmth and smile immediately make you realize how genuinely welcome we are - he brings water, Bintang, cold face towels and the signature Kayumanis cookies for the ride. Ngurah is one of those rare humans who show sincere friendship and humour, who always remembers not only our names, but even the names of our children, including those he is yet to meet. He performs his role to an exceptional standard, and as the first impression and representative for Kayumanis, is a valuable asset to them. All of the staff at Kayumanis are lovely - reception, kitchen staff, waiters, house-keeping, gardeners, admin, the spa and massage ladies, the butler team and drivers, as well as the owners and managers. We have never once found anything less than perfect - and if there is anything we need or request, it is provided immediately. Ngurah even drove me to and from my surgery and follow up appointments, leading me by the hand from the hospital bed to the car - with the same care and compassion that I would receive from family. Rika is the office manager who always ensures we are happily “at home”. Rika also has a ready smile, exuding warmth - and continually goes above and beyond for us. At times, I purchase items (eg Cabana towels) via WhatsApp and have them delivered but at other times Rika has sourced items (coil incense and holders) for me and arranged delivery to the Villa. As repeat guests, Kayumanis have made us our own sign, displayed outside the door to our Villa - it’s these kinds of gestures that make us feel welcome and more than just a guest. An extensive Breakfast (menu) is included, delivered to the Villa - not a buffet surrounded by everyone as offered by many other accommodation options. Free high tea every afternoon; Free 90 minute welcome massage; Free 2 course lunch or dinner, once per guest; Free shuttle to anywhere in Sanur; As repeat guests, we receive 40% discount on accommodation, meals and massages/spa treatments. The mini bar is topped up every day, as are the addictive cookies. We were honoured to be in Bali for Nyepi this year and Ngurah, Rika and other staff members were very happy to explain the ceremonies and traditions surrounding this important annual event. The day of peace is certainly no deterrent to us, and our time at the Villa was only enriched as a consequence. I could rave on forever. I realize that Kayumanis may be outside the budget for many - but if you can, do it - you work hard for your holiday, so my advice is to truly reward and treat yourself, stay at Kayumanis with our second family!

We have just had a fantastic holiday at the Kayumanis. From arrival the staff could not do enough for us, we were shown to our one bedroom villa and shown around extensively. The villa was huge and had everything we needed. The 24 hour butler service was fantastic. Every member of staff we encountered was polite, friendly and helpful, our every requirement was met quickly and efficiently. We also spent an afternoon at the their onsite spa which was beautiful and relaxing. The food in the restaurant was of a high quality. We left feeling incredibly relaxed and would highly recommend the Kayumanis. We hope to return very soon.

​I honestly have no words to describe how incredible our stay at Kayumanis Sanur was. From the moment we were recieved at the airport, to arriving at the villas, it felt like stepping into a dream. The villas are breathtakingly beautiful - if you are looking for authentic Balinese style blended with peak luxury, this is it. ​We truly had the time of our lives here, but what really sets this place apart is the staff. They are the heart of the villa. Everyone we met was so kind, professional, and genuinely courteous; they truly never say "no" to a request. They made us feel like royalty. The gong restaurant, food, drinks staff there are all simply amazing too. ​We are already planning our return. It’s not just a hotel; it’s an experience. If you are coming to Bali, this is a must-stay recommendation from me!
