We lack words to describe how incredible our experience at D'Legon Villas was. We stayed at the villa with pool and jungle view, and everything was amazing. Breathtaking view and scenery, top notch amenities, very professional and helpful staff (the absolute NICEST people on earth, really focused on making your stay the most enjoyable experience). The villas are ideally located, a stone throw from the centre of Ubud (a 15 mn stroll by a convenient street gets you directly to the main street, Jalan Raya Ubud), but also nicely isolated from the trafic and hectic bustle of the touristic centre of town. Best of both worlds : we did all our activities and sightseeing on foot in the town, and could have very quiet rest moments at night and whenever we fancied staying a bit in the villa (often at the end of the day, after extensively touring the surroundings of Ubud). We are not much demanding about tech conveniences, so this is not our main point of concern, but the villa has everything to offer on that matter, from air conditioning to TV (which we do not watch much usually, let alone during holidays), a completely equipped kitchen, etc. The main remarkable features for us where the exquisite decoration, attention to detail and the taste involved in every choice of furniture, general layout and organization of space. The bathroom is itself is a masterpiece, with different textures of stones (basalt, travertine) on the floor and walls, just gorgeous. The outside amenities are memorable, with a splendid gazebo where you can seek some shade on sunny hours, and a very beautiful overflow pool, enshrined in a luxuriant and cared-of garden of trees, bushes and flowers. Eventually the major points of excellence of the D'Legon Villas are the staff members, at the same time both discrete and wishing to cater for all our needs with high professionalism, be it on food (the freshly prepared breakfasts were a daily feast both for the eyes and our palates) or other requests and pieces of advice. We leaved the place with fond memories of our interactions with all the nice people there, and they will definitely be part of the reasons we already plan to come back as soon as we can ! :-)

“Overall Nice Property, Location Slightly Inconvenient”

LOCATION - 3.5 stars Location not really walkable to main Monkey Forest area. Grab drivers had hard time finding it as tucked down the small alleyway. LOCATION - 3.5 stars Location not really walkable to main Monkey Forest area. Grab drivers had hard time finding it as tucked down the small alleyway. Peaceful though as less busy which is what we wanted. The property advertises there is free shuttle service, but that is FALSE and they still haven't updated their websites. The street location had few places to eat or shop though so just know you'll need to walk 20-30 minutes or take a grab to have more choices. SERVICE - 5 stars The staff and people at the Villa were incredibly friendly and nice. They responded to everything immediately. ROOM - 4 stars Our villa was good size and with character. The room was a bit dark though, and the A/C was only in the main bedroom itself while common room were fan only. A couple items in the bathroom were broken but they fixed it when alerted. VILLA - 4 stars The villa pool overlooked the jungle and was nice. Property is not too large, but each villa was pretty private. Breakfast was good and they delivered to the room or eat in the common area. There was a choice between Indonesian or American style. OVERALL - 4 stars Nice solid property, friendly people, good value while slightly inconvient

This is a stunning place away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud yet within walking distance of some lovely cafes. The staff here are so lovely and friendly as it’s a family run business. If you have a room without a private pool there is a communal one : when we were there no one was using it. There is a very cool common lounge where you can order delicious home cooked meals ( like have a private butler service!). You feel like you are in a private home which is very special. My only fault would be that the bedding was a bit tired and our sofa/day bed had quite a few stains and was a bit shabby ( we didn’t want to use it) Also our TV didn’t work but they tried to fix it. Didn’t really need a TV though, it’s a shame about the sheets and daybed stains - I imagine they are recovering from the Covid days. Besides that I would still recommend this beautiful place, the price point is very good.
