WoW! I can’t say enough about this place, it was simply AMAZING!!!! I was a little skeptical walking up to the property from the road but I was immediately greeted by Widi the homeowner by name, which made me feel welcomed. I was taken to my room which although the pics were great, still did not do it justice. The room and attached bathroom were clean, updated, modern with a balcony overlooking the garden. I felt immediately at home, completely safe and secluded from the hustle and bustle of Bali traffic which was only a 2 minute walk to the main street but felt like miles away. There’s no a/c which I was prepared for but with the constant cool breeze from the sliding window panels and doors with the fan, made the room perfectly cool at nights. Compared to the other accommodations in the area, this place is most certainly above average in terms of location, price and quality. I first booked for only 1 night but stayed well into day 4 with the intention of making this my go-to place in Bali. There's quite a number of different rooms so depending on your needs, you can select accordingly. Single room which is perfect for 1 -2 people as it includes a double bed, balcony and attached bathroom The Executive Single room ideal for 1-2 people with a little more living space and a very large balcony The Junior Double Room which is the same size as the Single room but with a double as well as a twin bed to accommodate a child or two The Executive Double Room which includes 2 double bed, tv, kitchenette, huge closet space and large balcony The other thing I love about this place is being able to interact with Widi and his family. Widi speaks English and was able to explain a lot about the Balinese traditions and customs. You are free to roam about the property and to enter their family temple considering you have not had a recent death in your family or as a woman, that you are not on your period. From time to time you will see his son's playing in the yard and entertaining themselves as kids. You will also see small offerings of flowers at each door as a symbol of welcoming guests with only good vibes and good intentions. Take the time to sit down with Widi and learn more about the Balinese traditions. He is excellent at suggesting local cuisines and places to visit. The rooms are also available for long-term rentals at a very reasonable cost.
