It was our first time as a family visiting Bali and we could not have had a more enjoyable, relaxing time. From the beautiful restaurants, facilities, accommodation and hospitality that Melia offers it was difficult not to have an exceptional time. We were fortunate to stay in the Level Club which we loved having access to the beach cabanas, enjoying free daily afternoon snacks as well as the inclusive happy hour cocktails. Special mention to Mita who looked after us in the Level Club reception, as well as Resti and Dharma who took great care of us in the pool/beach area. Their willingness to help and friendliness made our experience at Melia welcoming and memorable overall. We will definitely be recommending Melia and hopefully will be able to return soon!

“Excellent”

Excellent resort and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Rooms were great, breakfast was excellent and facilities were top class. Special mention to Deni who serviced our room to an excellent level and was so pleasant and friendly particularly when I wasn’t feeling well.

We stayed at Melia Bali for 1 week, it was our first time at the hotel. We were all-inclusive so we had the pleasure of enjoying the unlimited food and drink services. There are a number of restaurants you can dine at if you don't want to have buffet every night. These restaurants need to be booked as soon as you arrive to avoid not getting a table. Special thanks to Arini in house keeping who cleaned our room every day. She was brilliant and accommodated well on the days my toddler was sleeping whilst she needed to clean our room! Also Bayu and Trisna from Lotus restaurant for the wonderful service they provided. Mitha, Suci and Susanti from Sakura Resturant who provided brilliant customer service and tasty food suggestions! Lastly Angga, Agas and Mahendra at El Patio for the exceptional service provided during our lunch time feast! Just some suggestions, the resort needs AC in the lobby. There were times were it felt so hot just sitting there and it made it difficult to enjoy a drink at the lobby area. The pool area was nice but i did expect it to be larger, the grounds cover quite a lot of the resort so would be better if there was a bigger pool. Overrall lovely stay and will come again!

There’s a lot to love about this resort but a few things that need to be improved. Positives: - The buffet breakfast is absolutely amazing here with everything we could have hoped and asked for. We had some special food requests and Chef Bayu delivered them to our table happily every morning for our 3 day stay. Our young kids were very pleased to get what they had asked for, so thank you Bayu! The staff serving tables were always happy and smiling, attending to us very well especially Agus and Sumerta, they did a great job! The cooks at the egg station were also very good! We loved our breakfast here every day! - The tropical Balinese gardens/grounds are absolutely beautiful! - The beach/beachside restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, my kids enjoyed the marshmallow toasting - We loved having access to the pool from our room, very handy with kids and fairly quiet. - Smart tvs with Netflix in room - Kids club looked great for younger kids (my almost 9yo twins didn’t use it). Movies there every night. Negatives: - Pool access rooms felt very old and in need of renovation - Deck area from room onto pool was small and not private - We didn’t really love the food around the pool or beachside restaurant. Pool service was slow (it was busy) and prices were extremely expensive (if not all inclusive) in all areas of the hotel. Soft drinks are not refrigerated, they rely on ice which melts quickly. - The whole resort felt like it was too big for the size of the main pool. It’s a shame that the level pool is for level guests only. That should be changed to an adults only pool for all adult guests. - Rooms were cleaned very late every day, mornings would be better. Cleaners do a great job regardless! Overall this was a nice resort but I don’t think we would stay again until after renovations are complete. It just didn’t have the wow factor that we were hoping for.
