“Nice Hotel”

This hotel is by the beach side - so if you would like a walk, this place is nice for that. The pool is also nice. The gym is rather small with just a few equipment but no issue as we did not intend to use it. The rooms were clean and the staff polite. Definitely worthwhile staying here.

The restaurant in the hotel has a limited menu but is tasty. it is 3 km from the harbour, but this means that it is quiet here in the evening.

“So much potential, yet failed my expectations”

Pros: 1) Staff are very nice and helpful. 2) Rooms are clean. 3) It has a resort feel. Cons: 1) Main reason for the 3 stars is because the water pressure is really bad and the temperature control is horrid. It’s so odd how the water pressure goes higher as the temperature goes higher. However, 90% of the temperature dial on the shower was hot. I asked the reception to check on it but there was no change after. 2) It is a 10 minute drive into the city which the hotel charges 150k for a one way ride in (really expensive though in general car transport prices are really expensive in Labuan Bajo). There was no Gojek available in the vicinity to be used (hence we had to use the hotel transport). The hotel should provide a shuttle service in at fixed timings at a cheaper price instead. 3) Just a wading pool (you can’t swim per se as it is a winding pool).

“I wouldn’t use for a longer stay, don’t expect 4* quality”

We had no high expectations as we only used this hotel as a base to further explore Komodo islands. You certainly get what you pay for. Pros: Great location - very close to airport (10 minute drive) and to the harbour (10 minute walking distance) Very well maintained gardens Decent sized room with comfy beds Decent swimming pools Friendly staff Pretty sunset views Cons: Atrocious bathroom - outdated, mouldy, with a musty smell Smelly AC Poor breakfast selection (bread, jam, cereals, a few sad looking croissants) Very dirty beach - full of rubbish (glass, plastic bottles, cups), heaps of rubbish nearby - no one was clearing it Poor quality, worn out sun loungers
