I stayed at Best Western Premier La Grande Hotel during a business trip to Bandung. I chose this hotel as it sits just across a mall, with plenty of food options nearby and even a KFC right in front. The only slightly confusing part is that the hotel entrance is located on the side and is not very visible from the main road, so it is possible to miss it the first time. Booking, this hotel though was a nightmare. Their website was full of bugs and the room rate kept changing, which forced me to switch back and forth between the website and the Best Western app. At one point, multiple bookings were created at different prices, and it took several days, a few cancellation attempts and calls to different hotlines to finally sort everything out. One hotline even told me I had booked through a third party, despite using their official website. Upon arrival, security staff were friendly and welcoming. Reception was polite but the check in process took longer than expected as there was again confusion about the rate I had originally booked. At one point, they took my phone to show my booking to their manager without clearly asking permission and kept it for quite a while, which felt uncomfortable and which I didn't appreicate. On the bright side, there are self service welcome drinks available in the lobby, which is a thoughtful touch, especially if you end up waiting. The hotel itself feels a bit dated but still well maintained. Elevators can be slow and tend to get crowded during peak hours. My room was spacious with a pleasant view, although minor wear and tear was noticeable. The bed and pillows were comfortable and I slept very well. Breakfast was definitely the highlight of the stay, with a wide selection ranging from local Indonesian dishes to international options. Check out was quick and smooth, but the now familiar administrative issue appeared again. I was promised that my invoice would be emailed, yet I had to call multiple times before finally receiving it. At one point, they placed me on hold for more than 15 minutes. I was only able to sort it out when I sent them fuming messages on whatsapp. Despite the frustrating booking experience and the invoice follow up, I would still rate the stay highly. The location, comfort and breakfast make it a solid option in Bandung and I would still recommend it, hopefully with less headaches next time.

Hendrik from the bar was amazing with excellent service. The hotel is a great place to stay with lovely facilities such as pool, spa, bar, restaurant, and beautiful view of the city. The staff is lovely and always smiling.
