“Good Hotel to stay”

We visited this hotel on our way to Bali island. We were 4 families stayed in this hotel for 2 days. Hotel was nice & clean.Check In was fast. Staff is courteous & helping nature. But some what away from city. Over all it was nice experience.

Booked 4 superior rooms for our family and friends trip. 1 room with double bed and 3 rooms with 2 single bed. Pros :- - friendly, attentive and energetic staff - king size bed - basic room amenities provided - good location (10 - 15 minutes slow walk to Malioboro St) - convenience store nearby - free 1 kg laundry during our stay (not sure about other) Cons :- - same limited menu for breakfast daily (but tasty though) - bit old furniture in the room However, the hotel will be undergoing a renovation work (I think) since it has now been rebranded to Horaios Hotel just a few days ago. Verdict. - It's my first time in Jogjakarta and this hotel is recommended and surely InsyaAllah will be back again. Maybe I'll be suprise with the new look.

“Good hospitality but still not good enough to stay.”

I was assigned to this hotel for a company gathering by our travel agent. When I arrived, I impressed by the hospitality of the staffs and how beautiful the lobby area was. But as soon as I reached the room, I feel disappointed. The room was big, but dirty. There were lots of stains (that probably can't be removed) on the wall, linens, and towels, the floor was scratched, even the window is foggy and scratchy. There's also a funny smell from the bathroom, not sure what that is. We were assigned in more than 50 rooms, and most of them have same problems. The rooms are all double room with an extra bed. Funny enough, most of the extra beds didn't come with blanket. My coworkers' opted not to complain, because the AC wasn't cool enough and they feel like don't need blankets. Breakfast selection was so-so, some station like the egg station wasn't opened when I had mine (6:30 AM). I have a little complain about the milk they use for cereals, I feel like they diluted it with water because it tasted more watery than milky. Taste wise, since I'm not into sweet tasted savory foods, I must say I'm not into it, but generally, restaurants in Yogyakarta always have that signature sweet tastes, so that's okay. I highly suggest that you get a no breakfast option if you want to stay here to save your money and get a better meal. BRING YOUR OWN HAIR TOOL. I asked the staff if they have a hairdryer since there's none in the room, but they only have small number of hairdyers and they were in use by other guests, so we have to wait until later that night (it was morning when I requested the hairdryer) to get one. But other than that, I must say the staffs are VERY friendly and helpful. I think that's the best part of this hotel. Overall, if you're with a bigger party, I don't recommend this place to stay. I don't know if it'll be any difference if you stay with smaller party, but if there's a bigger party in the hotel with you at the time, you're doomed.
