Please try to get to know their language such as: Suksma - Thank you Rahajeng semeng or semeng - Good Morning / Morning Their language is balinese, we were trying google translate to communicate but we were entering in ‘Indonesian’ instead of ‘Balinese’ Oh wow! What a stay it has been. We have 2 more days out of 6 days and it is the best resort on the island. The beach is the backyard, devil’s tears is right next door, and a restaurant is attached to the resort. Although, there are cheaper restaurants a few minutes away that we scootered to because eating at the restaurant attached to the resort can get expensive for dinner and lunch everyday. BREAKFAST IS INCLUDED! So that was really beneficial for us and saves us money. Remember your room number! You can start a tab and pay at the very end of your stay, you just have to sign a receipt every time you eat at the restaurant or drink at the bar Oh and make sure you remember your room number! Wifi was down for the first few days, but soon fixed. Here are a few things we learned while we had our stay here: - Rent the scooters (85,000 rupiah) is rented daily but worth it to explore the island, we rented one everyday for our stay and explored other beaches. We even got to experience filling the tank with “Petrol” which is what gas is called here. - You can ask for more towels at the bar if the towels you got is wet. You don’t have to wait in between dries to use. 😂 - You track sand…EVERYWHERE. - The weather is unpredictable, it says it was going to rain our whole stay and we’ve had only 1 bad rainy day (that ended up being sunny towards the end) - They will enter your hut to clean the floor and make your bed for you - Go take advantage of the snorkelling tour in Mangrove, the boat you get isn’t that luxurious and I kinda like it that way. It adds to the experience. But the snorkelling was really fun! - Try out the Gala-Gala underground house, it seemed creepy at first but is now a conversation starter between my boyfriend and I. (See our review on the Gala-Gala underground house trip advisor.) - If you’re out and about make sure you go visit places that are owned by the locals. We went to this specific convenience store everyday because it was owned by a lovely couple. (We got stuck in front of their store one day and they were kind enough to help us figure out the scooter) - Drive on the left side of the roads and honk when turning blind corners to let the other drivers know that you’re right there. - Some roads are sketchy because it’s unpaved, but just keep driving and you’ll eventually hit pavement again. Watch out for pot holes! Specially after it rains, the pot holes are deceiving. - Check out other tourist spots like the yellow bridge etc. Everything is close by the farthest we’ve been is 15 minutes away but it feels very short. Google maps is your friend.

“Wonderful beachfront relaxed vibe”

We had 2 wonderful nights here on a lovely stretch of white sand beach and crystal blue water. We took the dream hut express which included transfers from our hotel in Nusa Dua to Sanur port, the 30 min boat ride to Lembognan island, a 15 min open bus ride to the hotel, back again then to the airport for only $55 AUD pp. The villas are beachfront, a balcony with twin chairs and a small table and most importantly you can sleep with the doors open and listen to the waves crash at night. The property is basic but it goes with the beach vibe the property conveys. Room rates include a buffet breakfast with a great selection and the restaurant is open for lunch and dinner as well with very reasonable prices. The spa is located in a small hut near the beach front where you can enjoy a 1 hour massage for $15 AUD (and it was fantastic!) I would highly recommend this property for a beautiful, peaceful beach experience for those wanting a hidden gem without spending the earth.

So relaxing! If you want beachside on an island this is the place to be. So close the ocean was too noisy! restaurant is awesome, food delicious, a lovely experience. Worth it. So relaxing! If you want beachside on an island this is the place to be. So close the ocean was too noisy! restaurant is awesome, food delicious, a lovely experience. Worth it. It’s not a swim beach, bit dangerous- but the view is fantastic. The family huts are at the front in prime position - although be prepared for the very steep steps to your room and down for the bathroom and outdoor shower. A real Bali experience.
