Manta Dive on Gili Trawangan delivered a genuinely outstanding stay for our family, from the first message to the final goodbye. From the start, Becca took care of every detail so we did not have to worry about logistics at all, which made travelling with kids incredibly easy. Airport and boat arrangements, timings and course bookings were all handled smoothly in the background, so we could simply relax and enjoy the island from day one. ## Perfect family accommodation The accommodation was perfect for our family of four – comfortable, practical and spotlessly clean every day. The layout worked really well with children, and it was the ideal base between dives, with just the right mix of calm, privacy and easy access to the beach and dive center. The restaurant and bar staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming; after a couple of days we genuinely felt like locals rather than guests. Nothing was too much trouble, from special requests for the kids to tweaking orders and drinks, and every interaction came with a smile. The relaxed atmosphere around the bar each evening made it a natural gathering point where we could unwind, chat and relive the day’s dives. The diving with Mata Dive was the real highlight of our week. Special thanks to divemasters Olly, Ayat, Wan, Kiff and Ding, who took us to a fantastic variety of sites and consistently found incredible marine life while keeping everything safe and well organised. Every briefing was clear, the equipment was in great condition, and we always felt in very good hands underwater. Our 10‑year‑old completed her Junior Open Water course with Robbie, who was absolutely brilliant with her from the first pool session to her open water dives. He struck the perfect balance between safety, patience and fun, and she came out not only qualified, but excited and confident to dive with us in the ocean. Watching her join us on the boat and then underwater was easily one of the most memorable parts of the trip. A huge thank you also to **Majik**, who seemed to be everywhere at once, keeping everything running smoothly and entertaining us in the evenings. Even when we requested multiple last‑minute schedule changes, nothing was ever too much trouble and everything was rearranged with a smile. That level of flexibility and genuine hospitality is rare, and it elevated our stay from a great holiday to something truly special. We left Mata Dive already planning our return and fully intend to be back again before the end of the year – it is that kind of place. If you are considering a dive holiday on Gili Trawangan, especially with a family, we cannot recommend Mata Dive highly enough.
