I got two names, Jesus in reception and Jose Tomás in room service and they were absolute gems, great assests for the business. The room was confortable and welcoming, very clean. The food was fantastic as well, both the dinner and the breakfast. 5 out of 5

I recently had the pleasure of spending two nights in the Clayton Hotel Leopardstown. The food is first class, & the rooms are finished to a very high standard. I honestly cannot praise the staff, & Andrew the Assistant Manager highly enough. Every member of staff I encountered, went above & beyond the call of duty in their kindness & outstanding customer service…It was my first visit to this Hotel, and it certainly won’t be my last..In the times we live in when everything is about profits…It was lovely to experience smiling, friendly staff who all worked happily together to make every customer feel special..That always starts with management, & Andrew worked along side his team…Thank you all so much, for such a wonderful, memorable experience, and for looking after me so well, It was like a home away from home🙏🫶

The Clayton Hotel in Leopardstown is a modern, well-run hotel that works particularly well for people travelling by car or visiting Dublin for business. While parts of the hotel could benefit from a light refurbishment here and there, overall it is clean, efficient and very comfortable. One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is the parking. Many Dublin hotels advertise parking but only have a handful of spaces. Here there is a large underground car park, which makes arriving by car very easy. Overnight parking costs €10 and the ticket is validated when you check in. If you are arriving from the airport, the hotel is very easy to reach as it sits just off the M50, so there is very little city navigation required. The hotel is located in the south of Dublin, so it is not particularly close to the city centre, but there is a nearby train connection if you need access to the city. Check-in and check-out were both very quick and efficient, even though the hotel seemed quite busy. We booked two room which had a double bed and a single bed, so we had an adjoining room with the same layout, which worked extremely well for our family. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The elevators also worked well, and there are several of them. One small detail is that you take one elevator from the underground car park to the lobby and then switch to another elevator bank to reach the rooms. The bar service was excellent, with friendly and efficient staff. The food was good, although the menu is fairly basic. We had a cocktail and some bar food which we enjoyed. Breakfast was another highlight. It is a buffet-style breakfast, but it is very well organised and comfortable, with a good selection and smooth service. There are also vending machines on the first floor, which is convenient for snacks or drinks. Overall this is a very practical and reliable Dublin hotel, especially if you are travelling by car or doing business around the M50 area. It may not be right in the city centre, but it is comfortable, efficient and easy to access. Rating: 4/5

“Disappointed and lacklustre”

I booked in for 1 night and arrived in around 1 o clock to be told my room wasnt ready. The room was clean and tidy but there was alot of noise at times like some remodelling going on. I booked in for 1 night and arrived in around 1 o clock to be told my room wasnt ready. The room was clean and tidy but there was alot of noise at times like some remodelling going on. I was heading out to meet a colleague and after I shaved the sink wouldn't drain i assumed it would drain in time but the following morning it remained the same i realised the mechanism for relasing the water was not working and therefore unusable. When I checked out the receptionist told me there was no one on duty that day to fix it. She didn't even cop I was checking out! No apology...I waited for the room how did they not check the mechanism for draining the sink didn't work? I found the interaction with staff lacklustre at best and left even more disappointed having to pay parking fees of €16.
