If you're looking for a beautiful venue for a fun but relaxed wedding, the Devlin couldn't be more perfect! THE VENUE The venue itself is so cool! We had a lovely sunny day in August so we were able to have the terrace with the rooftop pulled back which was so special. The view from the other side of the bar over the mountains is gorgeous. We didn't bother with decorations beyond little bud vases with some flowers on the tables because the decor is already lovely! THE FOOD! The food was fantastic. We wanted there to be a flow of food all evening instead of a sit down meal and the team were so fantastic in making our vision come to life. We had antipasti platters when people arrived, small canapes before the speeches, fish and chips (and veggie/vegan options) before the band and then pizzas as our late night food. Someone said 'my only complaint about the food is there's so much of it I can't eat it all' so mission accomplished there! They also laid out our cakes so beautifully and wrapped all the leftovers up for us for our Day 2 (and the food tasting was so fun!) THE DRINKS The drinks were also amazing! We have a lot of non-drinkers so we wanted a venue that did lots of really good quality non-alc options – the strawberry and basil mocktail was a particular hit! We also wanted a cocktail hour with mini margaritas and iced lattes which was off menu, but the bar team made it happen and it went down an absolute treat. THE ROOMS The rooms at the Devlin aren't huge, but they have everything you need. The bathrooms are lovely and the pressure in the showers is great! The beds are super comfortable and I have it on good authority from many of our guests that the Tayto in the rooms was very much appreciated come 2am! THE BEST TEAM EVER Finally, the team. The staff at the Devlin are some of the kindest, most wonderful people and they made the preparation, the day itself and the days around the wedding just perfect. Firstly a huge shoutout to Kaela who helped us organise the entire thing. She was such a calming presence and I knew everything was in hand. I don't know the names of the rest of the staff who helped on the night but We had so many guests commenting the next day about how incredible the team were. You can tell they love their work and it really made all the difference! They were even smiling and laughing clearing up at 1.30am! And then there's the team who weren't even at the wedding itself but looked after us and our guests so well that I can't do a review without shouting them out! Barbara, Leonora, Joao and Jamie were so amazing (Jamie even helped us pack up our car when we were leaving?!) We felt so well looked after from start to finish and I honestly can't shout them all out highly enough. I hope this review has convinced you that if you want a cool, relaxed and fun wedding with delicious food and wonderful staff, the Devlin is absolutely the place to be 💛

If you are getting married in Dublin, stop your search now. Layla's and The Devlin is simply the best wedding venue the city has to offer! The food was absolutely incredible, the cocktails were something else entirely, and the whole atmosphere of the venue made for the most magical backdrop to our day. Every single guest left with a full belly and the biggest smile on their face, and the highest compliment we can give is that almost everyone has already said they can't wait to go back themselves for dinner. That says it all! But what truly made Layla's stand out above everything else was the staff. We have never felt so looked after. Two people in particular deserve every bit of recognition going. Kaela was an absolute dream to work with throughout the entire planning process. She was there to answer every question, no matter how small, always picked up the phone and made us feel completely supported every step of the way. There was never a moment where we felt lost or stressed, and that is entirely down to her. Then on the day itself, Ahmed, the restaurant manager, was simply outstanding. He went above and beyond to make sure our dinner reception was the most fun, relaxed, and joyful experience imaginable. He had the most incredible energy and made sure everything flowed perfectly, all while making us feel completely at ease and free to just enjoy every single moment. Layla's didn't just host our wedding - they made it everything we ever dreamed of. We are so incredibly grateful to Kaela, Ahmed, and the entire team. If you are looking for a venue that goes truly above and beyond, this is it!

“Good!”

Great location, room was small but had everything I needed. I dropped a star because hearing other room doors slamming is quite bad, no soundproofing and the TV wasnt working, kept showing me the circle of doom! Nice bar on the ground floor and the roof terrace!
